One of the best tomato soups I have had in the longest time.. and great quality italian food ... loved the cabonara and grilled chicken too.. definitely recommend this hidden gem! "Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."

"Had lunch here. The place has a homemade, indie, community vibe. Great music playing, and friendly relaxed staff. All age groups here with including children colouring in with pencils and paper provided. There is a separate vegan menu offering wraps,salads, and burgers. There is even a limited dessert offering. Had the jackfruit burger. Never had one before and really enjoyed it. Their own vegan slaw was great. Would definitely recommend this place"

"I visited yesterday with a party of 9 to celebrate my 50th. There were possibly 4 other people in the restaurant. Staff were courteous and polite as always and took the drinks order quickly. We had quite a long wait for starters as the kitchen's priorities appeared to be getting food out for the takeaway orders. I chose The Exotic Dining due to its wide variety of specials, which I viewed as its USP. Unfortunately though most of these, although on our menus, were not available! Time to choose a standard dish which was very tasty; no complaints about the food. The same can't be said for the desserts as there were none! Worse still, none of this was mentioned on booking or arrival. Very disappointed the restaurant has lost its magic and can no longer claim to offer anything above its plentiful competition."

"If ever there was an advert for getting into hospitality, it's here! Big smiles on arrival (even though we were an hour early We had a lovely chat with the owner who explained that everything was cooked from scratch and if we wanted any tweaks...to the menu, they'd be happy to oblige. The restaurant filled with customers and the smell of home-cooked food started to get my mouth watering! All our food was served and presented beautifully and not much was left on the plates! THEN ... a tambourine was placed on our table and the next thing was the owner had strapped on an accordion and away he went with us all clapping and shaking away to some authentic Italian songs. A fantastic night with friends, topped off by the food, attention and atmosphere to brighten up any dark Saturday night in January!! Highly recommended."
