"Have you ever tried a coq au vin that was so heavily saturated with cream and salt that a layer of oil was visible on the surface? This combination made the dish unappetizing. Cream is not traditionally included in this dish, and I have never come across a recipe for coq au vin that calls for cream. This was not mentioned in the menu description either. When I brought this issue to the attention of the waiter, I was told that the chef would be notified. However, no adjustment was made to the bill, leaving me feeling disappointed overall."

Always enjoy eating in the restaurant. They serve some wonderful rice bowls which I always have. It is great before or after the cinema or just for a meal. The staff are friendly and good Covid safety.

Had a baby shower upstairs here along with afternoon tea. It was amazing! Everyone commented how lovely the food was, particularly the rolls and lemon cake. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a brilliant venue to have for an event.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bury St Edmunds. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is always amazing (their dirty fries are the best around). The staff are always friendly and great at what they do. I give it a 5-star rating.

This restaurant was a lovely spot for lunch. The ambiance was charming, the staff was welcoming and friendly. The service was quick, our order arrived promptly, and the food was very good. Despite being located off the main street, it was a hidden gem worth finding. I would definitely return for another visit.

A Lovely restaurant tucked away inside the Abbeygate Cinema building in Hatter Street. We had booked a table for 12 for a family celebration , the service was excellent, food arrived promptly and was delicious as well as very good value for money. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended.

a new cook has led to a new menu where unfortunately the only items that are labeled as vegan are beside dishes. there is a plant-based hot dog and jackfruit burger, but both come in brioche bungalows without vegan alternative, but they offered them without the bungalows with a focaccia on the side. a real shame as the previous menu had good options, and I love the cinema here. discussed with a manager here before they hopefully leave, they could consider adding a vegan pornstar in which case I update my score, as no joy at it.
