"We had our wedding reception at the oakesmere on 24-10-20 and couldn’t fault it. The communication was top notch and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us our needs and made sure our wedding was “perfect”. Nothing was too much trouble !We had an afternoon tea which was delicious and our own beautiful room to enjoy for the day evening. We stayed in an AMAZING suite for our first night as Mr and Mrs. We can’t wait to return for our BIG wedding party in 2021. A special thank you goes to Charmaine, Charles and Emma for their support through out X"

"We visited this beautiful little gem at the weekend after a particularly long journey. We were about 20 mins prior to them closing, despite this they happily made us lunch and served us without rushing or making us feel guilty about them clearly having to remain behind longer to accommodate us. The food was beautifully tasty and they even gave water and biscuits for our dog. We have travelled ALOT and to be given this level of service and kindness is rare. We were very grateful and extremely impressed by the food and choice of vegetarian options. A beautiful eatery with wonderful staff. Highly recommend and will definitely return again soon! "Best local pub for miles! Great quality and variety of food on offer, particularly good vegetarian options. Always fresh and hot food. Drinks choices have been good with lots of options. The recent pale ale swap wasn’t to my tasting but you can’t win them all. The garden and outdoor seating is very generous, but will get full on a busy day. Kids climbing frame, swings and trampoline on offer. Plenty of parking round the back. The staff are all very friendly and try to keep on top of service, with the preference being service away from the bar (even for drinks at busy times) which some people don’t like. But it keeps their bar area clear and quiet for those sitting nearby which makes sense. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
