Un pedacito de Grecia en Madrid. Comida exquisita hecha con mimo. Trato cercano y detallista por parte de los dueños. Fui con un amigo que ya lo conocía y sin duda volveré.

Espectacular el trato y también la comida. Nos explicó en detalle cada plato, nos aconsejó en cantidades, nos trajo un vaso de agua sin pedirla… Está atento a todos los detalles. Volveremos seguro. Visualizza piatti

De esos sitios que pasas por delante y no te detienes, pero que si eres una persona curiosa y te da por entrar, sabes al momento que no te vas a arrepentir. Ha sido como volver a las islas griegas y a ese encanto por un momentito, porque el ambiente y la comida hacen que se pase el tiempo volando. Te sientes como en casa, así que ya sabes, reserva porque sino no vas a poder calmar esa curiosidad.

What a great find near the Sorolla Museum! We had a quick lunch before enjoying the museum. I cannot say enough about the hospitality we received. The owners are the real deal and are passionate about Greek food and Greece. The locals clearly love this place on the days they serve moussaka, the locals order it in advance to bring home. Because the restaurant is small, it is worth calling ahead to ensure you can get a table. There are many healthy choices and the Greek wine was terrific as well. We will no doubt be back when we are in Madrid again.

Periplo ha sido el mejor restaurante griego de todo Madrid. Muy pequeño, solo tres mesas para deleitarse en familia y con los mejores platos preparados por Yannis y Lukas. Hemos disfrutado mucho todos los que conocíamos su cocina de toda su variedad de platos típicos griegos y los domingos, de la mejor mousaka, sin lugar a dudas! Ahora Periplo pone un punto y esperemos que sea seguido, y que encuentren pronto una nueva ubicación. La actual llega a su fin este mes de marzo. Ojalá pueda escribir pronto una nueva reseña del nuevo Periplo. Madrid necesita sitios como éste, no solo donde degustar su típica cocina, sino de estar entre amigos que te hacen sentir en casa. Frequented by locals and tourists in the know, Periplo continues to serve authentic greek food made with passion and love. From welcoming Lucas to the delicious food made by Yannis, Periplo knows how to make you feel at home. The menu has an extensive yet concise list of dishes that reflect the owners' culinary traditions and memories. Baked feta cheese with honey and sesame seeds, homemade pies, mussakas and pastitsio [pasta with ground beed and besamel sauce] are all cooked to pefection. My favourite this time was a pie filled with ground beef which was slowly cooked in beer which along with my Mythos beer took away the heat of the day and the fatigue of the trip. Will I return? Having just completed my vacation in Greece and during the last leg of summer 2023, I returned to my favourite cafe restaurant in Madrid, Periplo. The flavours and textures not only extended my culinary experience I had in Greece but also enhanced it. Even after all these years, the owners, Lucas and Ioannis, ensure that everything is fresh with a home-made feeling, full of flavours that instantly transport you to Greece. This time we ordered the feta cheese wrapped in fyllo pastry and honey and it was divine! Grecia en el paladar. Uno de mis restaurantes favoritos de Madrid al que suelo venir con asiduidad. Comida 100% griega que te transporta a Grecia. Calidad insuperable y sabores auténticos de Grecia. Personal muy atento, amable y que te explica todos los platos de la carta, trato de diez!. Recomiendo la ensalada dacos, albóndigas de calabacín y tsatsiki, acertaras seguro!!!!. Greece on the plate.
