"This was my second visit to the restaurant; I had come here two years ago, and the food was much better then. Unfortunately, we encountered issues with all five of our main dishes, but since we hadn't eaten all day, we managed to finish most of the food. The risotto was overcooked, resulting in an unpleasantly chewy texture. The steak was also overcooked and needed to be replaced. Additionally, the carbonara lacked bacon and was completely bland, with little to no seasoning. We didn’t want to make a big fuss about the food, but when our waiter asked for our feedback, we shared our honest opinions. The problems with the overpriced and disappointing main courses made us reluctant to order dessert. Overall, our waiter did discount some of the bill, but it really took away from my graduation meal. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again."

The service was somewhat slow, but the food was absolutely fantastic! I dined in for dinner and would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, while the service deserves only a 2. The atmosphere, however, was delightful and scores a 5. I highly recommend trying the Crème Brûlée!

Birthday meal with family, food really delicious. Wait for food due to understaffing which was understandable, but service was fast especially for drinks etc, food delicious and piping hot when it came out. Our waitress Tracy was absolutely lovely. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Arrived at 7 25 for our table of 3 booked for 7.30pm. First time in Plymount and first restaurant. Ordered starters main courses and the starters arrived about 25 mins later. Fast forward its now 8.45pm and after asking several times when our main courses would come we were informed it would be another 15 mins at least. We had enough and hit the eject button there and then. If the chef takes ill close the kitchen instead of trying to limp on. Very poor experience and place did seem nice but we arrived on diaster night

I've been to this restaurant several times and it has always been fantastic. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed tonight. The chicken satay was bland and chewy, and the accompanying sauce had no hint of peanuts. The pork belly was worse than what you'd expect from a cheap carvery. The sirloin steak, advertised as 10oz, was not worth a photo! The sauces were flavorless and watery. Most of the food was sent back to the kitchen with no apology or alternative offered. It seems the quality has declined since our last visit, likely due to a change in chef. I won't be returning anytime soon.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
