Rose Crown Bar Restaurant

This place was a really nice surprise, clean and tidy, full of atmosphere, wonderful dinner. The staff were well trained, friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend the Rose Crown.

An amazing place to visit. Very nice garden area like also interior decoration nice and cozy. Food very delicious and I must say very big portions. Staff professional and nice. Definitely would come back and I do recommend to visit this very charming place.

The food was gorgeous, price was a bit expensive, got charged for a dash which I was surprised about. The only thing I would say is that we ordered the scotch egg expecting a runny yolk and served hot/warm. It was served cold and boiled. Apart from that, everything else was lovely.

Excellent weekend at the Rose and Crown to celebrate my twins 21st birthday one studying at Bath university one studying at Falmouth university and the rest of the family coming up from Sussex the pub was the perfect get together location. Staying at the Rose Crown was a superb experience. The bed was comfortable, the shower was really good (it is surprising how often this is not the case), everything was very clean and well maintained. The views from the window to the main road was a picture postcard. We had dinner at the R C restaurant with friends who live in the area and the food was amazing, lovely relaxing atmosphere and good choices for vegetarians, vegans and those of us with intolerance. It was service with a smile without fuss. I most certainly recommend it.

We used to be regulars at this pub but then lockdown came. This is a little gem. We are going to be regulars again! Under new management and the landlord (a real character) is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome and appreciated. The food is absolutely delicious. We were spoilt for choice of what to choose. The pavlova is out of this world with homemade meringue. I’m going to spread the word as they deserve to do really well, I cannot speak highly enough. Great food, atmosphere, cosy, lovely decor and very fair prices…one couldn’t ask for anything more.

Six of us descended on this very welcoming and attractive country pub Saturday 18th March. It was a lousy evening, that typical British drizzle that seems to get into your bones. Better that it should pour, somehow, that's more acceptable. I am deviating, so I'll continue my review. The welcome was friendly and inviting, although the restaurant was packed full, there was no sense of rushing us to our seats or to select a meal. It was all very genteel. The food was really lovely. It tasted home made and confirmed to us that it indeed, was.
