"Went for a quick dinner before catching train back to Frankfurt. Drinks came quickly, as did the appetizers. Main course unfortunately took excessively long missed our original train back to city. I ordered spaghetti carbonara which seemed to have sat under the heating element longer...than you would expect, egg was “cooked” slightly not the creamy sauce you expect from carbonara. My son-in-law’s salmon was well done. Daughter’s plate of carpaccio was inviting. My husband ordered salad that the dressing was liberally poured over vegetables. Their debit machine was not functioning, thank goodness we were able to scrap the funds between the of us to pay bill. Questioned the waiter on why they did not advise when we entered and response was that there is no signage suggesting they accept debit or credit cards so it was our problem. Interesting approach to customer service. Don’t expect to return."

"we came only for a glass wee (preferably not vegan), as I discovered their vegan options. the sitting area in the open is very nice and also the interior of the restaurant. the meal times have a high price. I was very surprised at the food quality. I did not expect that in the tourist center of rüdesheim, where they have different customers from all over the world every day. also the region is in the rule not famous for many vegan possibilities. one of the best vegan burgers of all time."

"Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Update 1.1.2024. Nach einer Zwangspause kam das Chichibay am 20.12.2023 mit einer neuen Karte unter dem Aspekt Qualität daher. Neben neuen Vorspeisen gibt es jetzt bekannte und beliebte Hauptspeisen mit Qualitäts Upgrade. Und es gibt nur eins zu sagen :WOW. So geht relaunch einer Speisekarte. Die schon vorher unfassbar leckeren Gerichte sind jetzt nochmal übertroffen worden. Beim Sushi wird nicht mit Fisch gegeizt, und die Präsentation könnte man schon fast als Kunst bezeichnen. Man traut sich fast garnicht den Aufbau kaputt zu essen. Die Preise mögen den Ein oder Anderen zum Teil vielleicht erstmal abschrecken, aber glaubt mir, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt."

"Wir waren schon des öfteren im Schlemmerhouse auch aufgrund von Einladungen zum Essen. Die Qualität der Speisen ist gut obwohl die Portionen in letzter Zeit immer weniger werden. Der Service ist allerdings eine absolute Katastrophe. Man bestellt an der Kasse und diverse Mitarbeiter bekommen es nicht hin einem dann das richtige zu bringen. Ich hatte das California Steak und bekam Hawai Schnitzel. Bei einem weitern Besuch, wieder das Steak bestellt mit Kroketten und Salat und es kam nur das Steak ohne Beilage ,was zur Folge hatte das alle am Tisch mit dem Essen schon fertig waren als meines dann endlich kam. Aber was noch schlimmer ist, die Frechheiten und die Behandlung die man dann als Gast zu hören bekommt. Absolut unterste Schublade.Besonders zwei jüngere Damen mit Dutt, eine von ihnen mit solchen aufgespritzten Lippen, waren so unverschämt und frech zu uns obwohl wir nur gesagt haben das unser Essen falsch ist, das uns der Appetit vergangen ist. Selbst die Leute am Nebentisch ware Sprachlos über dieses Verhalten der Mitarbeiterinnen. Nie wieder Schlemmerhouse!!!!!"
