"Last week we have been in the restaurant Schwarzer Adler in the heart of the old city of Limburg. Before I start with the review, I'd like to note that a reservation of a table is highly recommended. The restaurnant is located in one of...the old timbered houses and radiates cosyness and appealed warmth. This impression is continued when you enter the restaurant: much wood inside with original atmosphere. The menu provides much options ranging from a variety of starters via main courses that are based mainly on pork to nice deserts. The food is well conservative in its best sense. There are even offers for kids providing the usual food... The service is fast and has a pleasing manner and it did not take too long waiting for the food. The prices are very reasonable. All in all, this was a great experience and we will come back!"

As usual good bürgerliche Küche. Jägerschnitzel mit pommes and an excellent Weizenbier. A complmentary soup to start.

Können wir nicht empfehlen, Essen war zu kalt, geschmacklos und zusätzlich noch zu teuer... daher alles daneben.. Als Limburger ist es ein no go. Daher das letzte Mal in diesem Türkischem Lokal.

Probably this a good restaurant. It was recommended by the hotel owner. But as for me it is overvalued and overpriced. Especially bearing in mind imposed service. Unfortunately I was not able to compare it with other places in Limburg

Der Kalbstafelspitz mit grüner Soße ein Gedicht. Butterzart und ein toller Geschmack. Dazu ein fruchtig trockner Riesling. Der Service sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Tolles traditionelles Ambiente. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, sind wir wieder da! (Thomas S. aus der Eifel)

Having just spent the day travelling from Austria, we wanted a relaxing evening in Limburg, which is what we had. Given it was a sunday evening we weren't expecting to find many places to be open to eat in, but this was one and an...excellent choice. Ambiente hervorragend, exklusive Lage in der Altstadt. Kleine Speisekarte aber genügend Auswahl. Allerdings ist der Koch mit Rosmarin sehr verschwenderisch. Bratkartoffeln schmeckten nach Rosmarin, Kräuterbutter schmeckten nach Rosmarin, Schnitzel schmeckten nach Rosmarin und zum Abschluss schmeckte auch die Sauce Hollandaise nach Rosmarin.

The woman in charge (owner on Sunday August ignored everybody who was not German. Our German is really good, but she refused to talk to us. Food was good, I have to admit. But service so bad that the joy of going for dinner...was killed. The woman was VERY nasty. The assistant tried to do her best, but could not solve the problem of a non-arriving main course. Our British neighbours were equally ignored. The woman in charge should be thrown out of her job! Shouting to an assistant is not done, ignoring guests is not done!
