"Flumserberg isn’t a big or advanced skiing resort, and is not even the closest coming from the North, but it has turned into my favourite, especially if you are accompanied by a non-skier, who can sit on a sunny terrace seeing the mountains without having to buy a ski pass. And the food is remarkably good in all places that I have been, but especially in this restaurant at the foot of the lifts."

"Das Restaurant Ochsen ist anscheinend für seine Cordon Bleu Spezialitäten bekannt, daher musste ich als Liebhaber von Cordon Bleu dies natürlich ausprobieren. Das mit Greyerzer Käse gefüllte Cordon Bleu ist für mich persönlich in Bezug auf den Käse die ideale Wahl für ein Cordon Bleu. Das Cordon Bleu war wunderbar knusprig und die Füllung war perfekt abgestimmt. Besonders bemerkenswert waren die verschiedenen gemischten Salate, von denen jeder mit einer anderen Sauce serviert wurde. Der Service war besonders zügig und extrem freundlich, das Gleiche kann ich auch über den Küchenchef sagen. Ich freue mich darauf, den Ochsen bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in der Region Walenstadt erneut zu besuchen."

"Looking in Trip Advisor for a restaurant in Walenstadt off season I thought would be difficult! Grant it there was only one, so we decided to give it a go. Easy to find with lots of parking around! The restaurant if of ample size, clean, fresh looking with an LCD showing the best of Italy. The waiter was prompt, friendly and explained the menu well (as I don't speak German!). We got the curry risotto, and the ravioli, both were delicious, homemade, and very very tasty. We got a bottle of white, and a coffee, and it came to 80 Swiss Francs. I felt it was worth it, and I think we might actually go back again!The only thing I would say would be that at night the lights should be a little dim, it was very bright in the restaurant, and some music would be good to add to the atmosphere, small things, but the big selling point for this little find is the food!!"

"Saunabereich ist eher klein. Er kann von externen gebucht werden. Kostenpunkt CHF 17 /Person.Einheizen dauert eine halbe Stunde.Ausstattung:4 Liegestühle, 1 Sauna ca. 90°C, 1 Eisbad sehr klein...eher für die Füsse), diverse Brausen.Wasser steht genau so zur freien Verfügung wie grosse Saunatücher.Abendessen:Reservation ist zwingend notwendig.Im Restaurant ist alles in Holz gehalten und die Bilder an der Wald erzählen von längst vergangenen Zeiten. Schon der Empfang ist sehr persönlich und freundlich. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und betreut die Gäste sehr gut. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und der Wein kann auch offen bestellt werden. Die Preise sind nicht günstig aber fair. Das Eis ist empfehlenswert. Denke es ist von Mövenpick)Für das Essen sollte man sich viel Zeit lassen, damit man es geniessen kann."
