"moved to livi and was already twice in this real little gem. the caffe has a great menu, beautiful staff and a focus on the use of local products. the coffee is above all a brand of edinburgh, which is exactly right. very cheap and with attentive staff worth visiting."

"My husband and I were heading to Bathgate on Friday night for a show and looking for somewhere close by to eat beforehand, after a quick google search Chenzo's appeared as an option, reading the reviews etc we went ahead and booked and we are so glad we did! The reviews certainly live up to expectations. The owner and his wife were lovely and very attentive, with the time we arrived we were the only table in the restaurant but the atmosphere was so nice that didn't bother us. The food was amazing! We really should have stopped after our starter and main but the thought of delicious homemade dessert left us no option but to try I am so glad we did! We left absolutely stuffed but it was worth it when the food tasted as good as it did authentic homemade Italian cuisine that we will definitely consider making the 40 minute trip back to Uphall for again!"

"So finally go to the meal I won through the oatridge hotel facebook contest and it was worth waiting, took the husband with me and we had both 3 courses and each cure was just as beautiful as the last. the sticky chicken wings absolutely beautiful and my man had the tomahawk steak and loved it was a lot of eating. will definitely be back with the family. many thanks to Hannah, who was so friendly and nice and thanks to the other girls who served us our dinner, many. we are very well fed and so happy with our meal xxxx"

"This was my first time at Zaika, will definitely be my last. The mixed pakora was definitely not freshly cooked. My girlfriend treated' me to an Indian for my birthday and what a disappointment. I had a lamb Karahi and my gf had a lamb Jalfrezi.... Both tasted exactly the same, which is not a good thing, tasteless and bland are the perfect words to describe them. When I've had lamb from a quality takeaway it was melt in the mouth this was definitely not the case here.I'm only writing this review as the both of us were left quite angry at paying nearly £30 for such a low quality meal. Avoid."

"has heard good things about this place, so we thought we would try. when entering, there was a strong smell of cheap bleaching agents that immediately put me down. we were welcomed immediately and brought to a nice table. the menu was very...limited that I had to begin the garlic mushrooms with which were not particularly pleasant. the prawn cocktails looked good, but nothing outstanding. we had a bottle chianti that was beautiful and a bottle of Italian Sauvignon Blanc that was quite bad and not very cold, but we drank anyway. the pizzas were absolutely delicious, but the carbonara was a little tasteless. the service was good and the waiting staff was friendly. the lighting is much too bright. defeats the purpose of beautiful little candles on the tables. no need for these bright ceiling downlights. he just doesn't create the right ambiente. overall an average experience and I would like to recommend."
