"Booked a table for 5 for Mothering Sunday via email on the 5th of March 2022, which was confirmed. I was meeting up with friends who I hadn't seen in a long time and their disabled daughter. One of whom has recently suffered a recent bereavement. When we arrived there was no record of my booking leaving me to doubt, myself if I had ever made one. I found the email which was scrutinised in detail, but no reason or apology was given for not having a table in the restaurant. After a wait a table was set for us in the bar, which was not what we wanted but we settled for it, as it was unlikely that we could find anywhere else. Apart from the fact that the Yorkshire Puddings were cold the food was good. But we ended up leaving early due to the noise in the bar, the dogs roaming around and draught from the fire escape which was constantly being opened. Not really what we wanted and did kind of spoil the day. A family who sat behind us in the bar hd the same experience and and weren't given the chance to eat, which ruined there Sunday too. Emailed the restaurant 2 weeks ago asking for an explanation for which I am still waiting for , let alone an apology. Neither me or my friends will be returning and if you do book, I would advise you to check in advance that the reservation has actually been made."

Fabulous pub. Not over fussed about the Sky Sports in here tho ' its out of character for this olde worlde pub, but its popular and drags 'em in.
