"I have been going to The Bakers for many years and even had my husband's 50th birthday meal there a few years ago with family. I have always enjoyed the delicious food and great service at this restaurant. However, I was disappointed with today's Sunday lunch. We had to move tables due to a cold draught, there wasn't enough choice of Rose wine on the menu, and the starters were average. The main course, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, was a letdown as it consisted only of hard cauliflower without any cheese. The potatoes were bland, the gravy was watery, and the temperature of the food was only warm. The dessert, crumble, was tasty but the custard was barely warm. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the high price we paid for our meal. However, the staff rectified an error on our bill and were very accommodating."

My family of eight went out for a get-together and I have nothing but positive things to say about the food and the service. We enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch followed by the most amazing Eton Mess we've ever tasted.

We reserved a table for our son's graduation since our usual restaurant was closed for renovations, and we were not disappointed. The service and food were outstanding, with a special mention to the Richard III pie. Despite the table being a bit small for our group of 8, the excellent service and food more than made up for it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
