"The first time is alwsys a trial by comparison. My wife 's friends had recommended The Barn and our visit had to be good: it was her birthday good people. The ambience was quite clinical, and the investment obvious, this relative newcomer had a lot to prove.......but one massive incentive success. The footfall in the area is certainly well heeled so let the fight commence, especially as the festive season approaches. Sending the Hereford aged Sirloin back to the kitchen I asked for medium rare but received rare] invoked a focus with a touch of humour. Enter a fresh meal with a succulent steak cooked to perfection with taste to match, and a side of steak, the fragment which I sliced off to trial. The requisite brownie was quasi experimental, which I liked and the bill a reasonable £86. A potential new gem in leafy Meriden, an early Christmas present maybe?"

Wouldn't believe the times I have cycled past this farmin the past 30 yrs and then the farm opened up with local produce and put a resturant upstairs.Batch and coffee. Great farm shop. Car park. A great Sunday dinner experience! Everything about our late Sunday afternoon dinner was superb. A lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Huge meals at reasonable prices the Trio of roasts (Pork, Lamb, Beef) was delicious. Cauliflower cheese on the side was very cheesy indeed! A good selection of wines, with prices to suit all tastes. We had never been here before, but we will certainly be going back. Service: Dine in
