"We had dinner in Peel 's as part of the hotel 's 'midweek staycation ' package, and decided to treat ourselves to the wine flight to accompany it. Service was attentive yet laid back throughout, in keeping with the decor and ambience. Fresh seasonal produce takes pride of place on this menu reflecting the sustainable ethos at the heart of the restaurant and hotel. Each course was well balanced and perfectly executed, with the pace of the menu just perfect, leaving you wanting more right up until dessert. Carrot and beetroot dishes were earthy and exciting, and truly celebrated the produce at the heart of them. The beef brisket dish was a stand out course for me, rich, deep and full of flavour yet balanced with the mushrooms. We felt that the wine flight offered a good balance of familiar and more adventurous/challenging wines. (We each gave 5/6 of the wines a thumbs up not the same 5 though.... a solid reminder that personal preference is subjective! The sommelier gave us a good amount of information and the chance to ask questions without being overbearing. The whole experience including the food, wine, service and atmosphere was right up our street we hope to be back before too long. NB I note some previous comments re drinks options in the bar we found that when we asked there was a greater selection than appears on the bar menu and staff were all to happy to discuss the options with us."

"Very dog friendly restaurant. Reserved a table online and dog was allowed in the main seating area, so you are not made to sit outside or anywhere awkward. Order by table service, very efficient and not a long wait. Food came out well cooked, tasty and exactly as ordered. Staff very helpful and friendly too. I would recommend."

"3 rd visit to this restaurant with the current owners. Both previous times very good attentive service and excellent food. However on this occasion although food excellent as always the service was far worse . Restaurant was very busy with a one large party. Order was taken promptly and although there was a longer wait for food I could understand that. However after the plates were cleared I was expecting to be offered face wipes not offered! Also no one asked if we would like any dessert or coffee! One person behind the counter seemed more interested in chatting to a pair of dubious looking guys who were drinking at the bar. Customer service was not great and eventually managed to pay the bill and left. I’m afraid that I am not planning to return based upon the customer service on this occasion and would certainly not recommend it to anyone. Sad really as the food was excellent!"

"Really lovely evening at the Beeches lovely food and great service but ambience just a little bit difficult to judge as we had a booking on the same night as a sizeable 'office christmas party ' it was good to see people having fun but they were so loud it was really difficult to hear anything else no ones 's fault, just unfortunate. But we will definitely go back."
