"Lovely old fashioned pub,we both got ham,egg,chips .homemade chips ham was delicious, 2 big slices,eggs were delicious and made to order . mother and daughter serving us were lovely .Well worth it we were full as big portions. "Popped into White Swan after dinner last night although I've walked past it many times it always looked so small from the outside. Well it's not that small once you're there. Lovely bar area with plenty seating, then a separate dining area, the outside seating area is just beautiful. Beautiful, lush greenery that's not plastic, fairy lights all over, comfortable seats, with a little corner that's set for a romantic evening. Very clean inside, even the washroom facility was spotless. Not sure about the food, as we didn't eat, but definitely return to find out. All in all a real gem."

"Loved it!! Over the last few years we’ve tended to stay at Air BnBs. Problem there not many have a pub attached…… So this was a very pleasant step back in time. Communication from the start was clear and timely, I booked direct rather than through a 3rd party provider……it was cheaper….. Anyway upon arrival we were shown to our room, small and compact would be the best way to describe it. But it was exactly what we wanted….. Downstairs for a pint, unfortunately arrived too late for dinner. Had a great chat with the owner who was engaging, even allowed me to buy him a TBF he did offer to return the compliment but I was too tired to take part. Next morning, down to breakfast and partook in the offering of a full English, delicious….. Unfortunately it was early October and the promised views were unavailable due to the local fog……will have to go back and take in the full alleged majesty of it all. Bottom line, if you need somewhere for a holiday, 1 night stop or just a Sunday lunch, this is the place if you’re in the vicinity. BTW good luck with the ongoing renovations……"

"In May this year on one of the hottest days saw the Swan door being opened at about 11. 30. Went in and was greeted with we don't do meals till 12 ! I asked for tea for two and the menu. The tea took over 10 mins to arrive and we were handed the menus. On perusing the menu everything was way out of our range, so when the waitress came after 12 to take our order I declined. I went to the bar to pay for our tea and was charged £5 which is scandalous . I have today purchased 240 tea bags for £2.09 which is 8p per bag we were the only people in the pub so I guess our charge boosted the takings for the day. Now 2 months later I still have bitter thoughts of being ripped off, pity really because later that week we had visitors and took them for a meal, but not at the Swan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Really handy not far from scotch corner, large car park. The food was really nice it looked immaculate (although the table was clean but sticky). My main issue is the really small menu although there were specials and hopefully these are changed regularly as nice as our meals were I would hesitate to go back as that was the only main I would like. The wine and soda was served separately (see photo) nice touch. I had fishcake with samphire, hollandaise and poached egg it was really nice and the fries were really crispy and not greasy. My wife had small fish and chips which wasn't small at all, she said it was delicious. The salt I think was sea salt flakes which was really nice but our salt pot ran out. Completely randomly from the car park there is a field and I have never seen as many wild rabbits in my life, there were at least 30 running around."
