"The service was friendly and the food reasonably priced but it was a dirty place. It obviously had not been cleaned for a long time. The windows were especially filthy. On the wall, a food hygiene rating of 3 (out of 5) was displayed. I’d say that was generous. My food had a hair in it so they didn’t charge for that meal. Came away feeling slightly sick. The location is nice, especially for walks along the river and through the woods."

we had two great dinner times in the gasthof. the burgers even lasted for our teenage boys. good local age and perry. cozy atmosphere with a real fire that keeps us warm.

We stopped for a quick lunch in the Boat inn. The food was amazing. Fish platter and Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread, I would highly recommend. Beautiful scenery, welcoming staff and tasty food.

I absolutely love The Boat. It's my very favourite pub. Delicious, no-nonsense, hearty food, cosy inside in winter, glorious and special terraced waterfall garden to sit in in summer. Perfect place

Authentic old pub, right on the riverbank, serving great ales, ciders and food. Small inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Park your car in England, walk over the old railway bridge and indulge yourself in Wales.

Great food and drink. Very welcoming. Brilliant location. Definitely well worth a visit anytime but edpecially in the spring/ summer when uou can sit in the garden. That said, nice and warm today with nice open fire burning

beautiful little pub, so welcoming and super dog friendly. visited to dinner and had an amazing local torte, the owners were really friendly, we just wish we lived closer so we could visit more. will be back soon. great location.

a bee on a winter walk with the dogs stopped. amazingly good pint of hpa directly from the barrel, served by excellent, friendly coworkers. it was so good that we had to have three. really good pub, not tried to eat yet, but it smelled great.

great location at the river wye. beautiful pub that allows dogs as long as they are on lines. they can either walk in the inside or outside along the river or magical terraces that lead to a rock face waterfall! an idyllic place to stay on a afternoon.

eating here was really nice, great quality! I just wish we knew how small the pub is, as there is only one handful of tables, so that we wait outside for about 40 minutes for a free table. because it was busy for the pub, it was unfortunately 40 minutes waiting. a rather small menu, but we all enjoyed what we ordered!
