Great atmosphere in the pub today, the quality of food was really good and would recommend the pizzas. its great if you can get a seat near the pizza oven and watch your pizza being made

Had a fabulous Stay at the Curious pig before our flight to Barbados. Enjoyed drinks by the fire in the bar and had a lush meal in the pub. Jamie was delightful and all staff very accomodating. Would highly recommend. Thanks for the bubbles in the room Visualizza piatti

Absolutely shocking. Went tonight for my wifes birthday and had to listen to a bunch of young people fing and blinding loudly. When asked to be moved the oke behind the bar didnt seem to be bothered. Definitely wont be returning again and definitely wont be recommending to anyone

We held a wake at this venue as it’s only a short drive from the crematorium. We had half the bar area for the guests. The food was excellent and a variety of foods, they catered for 30 and there was plenty left. Great parking and friendly and helpful staff. They have only done this a couple of times but highly recommended

We arrived on time at 1.00 pm for Sunday lunch to be told there were not enough roast potatoes so we would have to have new potatoes! Then after our shared starter we then waited until 2.45 pm for our main course which included one grape sized stuffing and an inedible Yorkshire which was enormous, the rest of the food was very basic pre sliced meats. Having ordered a bottle of French Sauvignion at £25 we were told they didn’t have that but had a New Zealand one but didn’t mention it was £37. Booked a table in the restaurant for 6pm on a Saturday evening, loads of empty tables. I gave my name to the waitress who said we could sit anywhere that was not reserved in the bar side. I explained we has a table in the restaurant and she just looked at me blankly and said we could sit anywhere in the bar side. She then gave us 2 menus and went through a list of about 10 dishes that they had run out of and added they have no ales available on tap. She then turned and walked off. We went into the bar side and there were a couple of reserved tables, the rest had plates and empty glasses on. So we left.

I visited the pub with my family and we were 8 in all. The food was good as was the service. However 4 of us had a Sunday Lunch and each of us 4 asked if we could have some extra Gravy as we felt there wasn’t enough on the meal. Imagine our surprise when the bill came to find we were charged £3.75 for the extra gravy. This is the first time we have ever been charged for extra gravy, which when needed has always been given with never any charge. We were never advised there would be such a charge and only noticed it on the bill. It left us saddened, as we enjoyed the meal including Desserts, for which we paid nearly £200. Not good customer relationship.

Disappointing that this pub has fallen so far in terms of general standards; I used to enjoy coming here. The food: The food was below average and when I asked if the burgers on the menu were homemade, the staff member didn't know. We opted for pizzas given how good they used to be from the authentic pizza oven on site, but the food was barely warm and lacking flavour. The ice cream sundae for dessert consisted of two very small scoops of ice cream and a small bit of cream that had been whipped to the point of becoming butter.
