The menu selection is excellent, featuring homemade dishes, and the hostess is delightful. The restaurant is also perfect for families, friends, and even dog-friendly. What's not to love? Thank you.

Continues to offer exceptional customer service food! Great variety on the menu and it's a real delight to visit (greeted like old friends once staff get to know you) Our little doggy always receives a very warm welcome too.

Once again, I was amazed by the Smoked Haddock Risotto and the Pheasant Breast at this restaurant. It is my favorite gastro pub, and the service, food, and overall experience never disappoint. I couldn't ask for anything more, it was simply wonderful. Visualizza piatti

We were only staying in this area for a few nights but this was recommended to us. Staff were most helpful and everything was comfortable and good pub food was served. Our food was all very tasty soup/vegetable lasagne was very nice. Good selections available.

After reading the reviews we were looking forward to eating here. However the welcome we received made us all feel a little uncomfortable. The lady with the glasses? I don’t know if she was having a bad day but my daughter actually said: she’s not very nice. The food was fantastic but we wouldn’t return to be treated like that. Maybe some front of house training is needed?

My family had a fantastic dining experience at the Duke William pub in Askham. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the lasagne and chips, which was a comforting meal. The homemade meat pie was huge and full of rich gravy. The fish and chips were excellent, with a crispy batter and tender fish. The Duke William is a wonderful spot for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. We headed over on a Monday evening to check the pub out for a large Christmas Day meal and decided to eat. Even tho we hadn’t booked, we were found a space for a bite to eat. There was only one waitress for the whole pub (she apologised and explained that they hadn’t expected a busy mon eve). Service was amazing we didn’t have to wait and the lady serving was fab. Food was IMMENSE! Great portions my SIL has mussels and chips I had a Camembert breads selection worth every penny. Decor is a beautiful quaint pub that’s cosy can’t wait to visit in the winter! Can’t wait to visit again.

A beautiful small georgian pub and resteraunt an a lively quiet village, the food was absalutely exeptional, we both had sea Bream which came cooked to perfection crisp skin and succulent fillets asparagus and creamed leeks with a lovely pommes dauphinois the wine list was good and varied and the chablis advertised would have been perfection but the rioja was so good we had to break with tradition a lovely 2018 vintage the service from the staff was wonderful attentive and nothing was too much trouble well worth a visit but book, a table as due to tge quality of the food its virtually always booked up cant wait to come again,

We didn’t have a warm welcome and we were shown to a table cramped for space with a very off putting sign on the table showing that this table was reserved for another sitting later . The table of people sitting next to us left their table before finishing their drinks as their time slot had expired and with limited space were seen finishing drinks standing in the entrance . This gives the impression that the owners just want to cater for diners who want to arrive and depart in a set time. It’s not the place for a relaxed drink before and after a meal .
