Only stopped in for a coffee but planning a meal there in the future after speaking to the chef and him rating the food 10 out of 10 I hope it lives up to expectations . Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5

Cold inside the pub .Came to take orders quick enough but waited ages on service. Food was tasty but portions extremely small and not cheap .Garlic prawns were obviously frozen defrosted and tomato soup ,although tasty, was gone in four spoonfuls. We dined at the restaurant last Saturday night and both enjoyed the sirloin steak, which was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented and homemade. The service was excellent; the staff were very polite and attentive, making sure that nothing was too much trouble. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I had lunch here on October 23 while visiting friends in the area. Two of us ordered the pie of the day, which featured braised shin of beef. It was fantastic—an individual shortcrust pie filled to the brim, accompanied by generous portions of mashed potatoes and buttered greens, all smothered in a delicious gravy. The service was excellent as well. I only gave three stars for the atmosphere because, oddly enough, the pub was nearly empty for a Saturday lunchtime. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.

I usually refuse to go out for a Sunday roast dinner because they're never good enough for the money, the Foresters however was delightful and worth every penny. Very generous portion of prawns for the starter and every item on the main was gorgeous. We did not have to wait very long between courses even though the restaurant was 2/3 full. The service was welcoming, warm and helpful We're all looking forward to returning in the near future, and hopefully this time the poached pear desert won't have sold out already. Visualizza piatti
