"We came on Saturday for afternoon tea. I booked before we came as it's only small and gets busy. We had a delicious plate of sandwiches, a bowl of crisps, a selection of cake bites, a cupcake and a fruit scone with jam and cream. Your choice of tea or coffee is refilled as you finish. We sat in the potting shed which had 4 small tables and was cosy, it did get quite loud when it was full. There is a beautiful garden and I will definitely go back in the summer and sit outside as the afternoon tea was so delicious.Afternoon tea was £14 each which I thought was good value."

Lovely little tea room, food excellent and loads of it. Staff very friendly, need to book though because there's not many tables. Little gem will be going back.

Nipped in for lunch before work. Lovely friendly staff. Real cosy feel. Had a lovely chicken mayo sandwich with salad and crisps. Lovely loose leaf pot of tea. Couldn’t fault the food or the service. Took a piece of amazing Malteser cake to eat at work. Will be booking in again soon

I've visited here quite a few times now and finally got round to trying the afternoon tea which did not disappoint! There were ample sandwiches, a varied selection of cakes, crisps and even fresh fruit which you don't get with afternoon tea. The staff were very attentive, would highly recommend!

My husband and I collected cheesecake to go last week as a nice Friday treat. The owner always post stuff yummy looking cakes on Facebook and we just had to go and get some! Even though we didn’t sit in on this occasion the transaction was friendly as always, safe during the current climate and the cheesecakes were absolutely delicious.

This tea room really is a hidden gem. Seating is limited during the winter months, and booking is essential for the afternoon tea. They have an amazing selection of vegan, gluten free and dairy free cakes. During Easter they have amazing Easter egg cheesecakes. Suitable for families. Lovely staff and a lovely tea room in a quaint setting.

I was fortunate to attend a belated mother's day afternoon tea treat last Saturday. From being greeted on arrival to leaving the pretty garden, everything was perfect in every way: lots of delicious sandwiches., crisps, scones, cakes, and of course tea, all presented in beautiful fine china. Jack the waiter really looked after us and checked in regularly to replenish tea and water supplies, even making sure that our parasol was protecting us from the lovely sunshine. Thank you Jade and your amazing team!

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
