"Breakfast has varied and delicious options. We had dinner in the pub. Always busy, loud, happy with several televisions on to watch sports. We ordered the soup of the day which was yellow pea. Comforting for the cold of the day but it could have been more tasty. The Balmoral burger is very delicious, filling. The little Haddock was a nice fried hake fillet with a big portion of peas and chips. For dessert we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream: delicious. Excellent and friendly attention."

Such a quaint little Inn. The service is great and our rooms are cozy. The beds are very comfortable.

Lovely photo pup grub, can recommend the buffalo chicken burger! Staff friendly but not in your face. Superb traditional pub welcome!

Stayed as close to theatre. Room was small but clean comfortable. Staff very nice friendly, breakfast wasn't the best. The bar was fairly decent

Nipped in while attending the music hall which was a 3 min walk. Beer was great with friendly staff. Will be eating next time as it looked good. Live sports played as well.

Only popped into the bar for a drink, but the staff were efficient and friendly. Looked like they were preparing for a busy evening of food service with reserved tables, so clearly popular. Good real Ales on offer.

I went here for just a drink in the pub. The atmosphere was great in this traditional pub. They apparently do food and also have rooms. My visit was pretty good for just a couple drinks. A real nice alternative to get a couple streets back from union Street
