"I went to this restaurant for lunch today and unfortunately had to send back my food because I found a long black hair in it. I brought it to the attention of a staff member who returned it to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the chef/owner came to our table and asked who had sent back the food. I explained that it was me and why I had done so. Instead of apologizing, the chef claimed that the food had not left his kitchen with a hair in it. I pointed out that the people at our table were all in their 60s with light hair, so it could not have come from us. Despite this, he continued to insist that he had not sent the food out like that and essentially called me a liar before abruptly leaving. His confrontational attitude and raised voice during a busy lunch service were completely uncalled for. I was deeply upset by the way he spoke to me and have no intention of returning to this establishment in the future. I usually do not leave negative reviews and prefer to address any issues in person, but the chef's behavior was unacceptable. I was simply looking for an apology, not a replacement meal or compensation of any kind."

Went today and was refused eggs on toast at 11.45 because it was too late! The menu stated breakfast until 12.00. Very disappointed as the food is always good. Will not be returning!

Ideal place for a catch up with friends over breakfast, lunch or just a hot drink and cake. A busy little place, but never too long to wait for a table. Staff are welcoming and friendly.

Hidden Gem, called in for lunch, surprised at the menu choices, took a while to choose! Service and meals were excellent would definitely recommend. Will call again when we're in the are next.

Four of us visited The Green on March 21st for a cream tea and we highly recommend it. The food was delicious and the tea and coffee were served in traditional pots. The price was very reasonable considering the generous portion sizes.

First of all the Food was amazing, I have had a million Christmas works do type meals and this was by far the best I have had. The staff were helpful and funny and the beer was cold and tasty. A great singer was also there adding to an already great night. Bravo

We had lunch at this restaurant today. The waitress told us they were busy, but we still had to wait about an hour to get our food. Another table asked when they would receive their food, prompting the chef (owner) to come out and rudely respond to them. When our food finally arrived, we found a long dark hair among the chips. After showing the waitress and explaining we didn't need a replacement, the chef accused my friend of putting the hair there herself.
