"Recently spent a wonderful two weeks nearby and had the opportunity to visit this charming pub several times! Our group absolutely adored it and even participated in the Thursday night quiz. The curry here is absolutely fantastic! I can guarantee I will be back. The average price per person is between £20-30, and the food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect rating of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Beef Burger, Fish and Chips, Hamburger, Pie of the Day, and the Roast Beef."

"Let me just say, the food was pretty good obviously a good team in the kitchen, not too long a wait and all very well presented. This is however where my praise finishes. It appears that even if you pre book a large group to eat on a quiet Saturday lunchtime you will not be given the best of receptions. We decided for ease of everyone to pay separately for our drinks at the bar this was not taken well and a frosty response from the woman at the bar made it clear we were already not doing things the way she wanted. Food orders were taken shortly after followed by an arm to the face as cutlery and sauce pots were pushed past us in no polite manner. Once our meals were delivered we were left alone to eat, no service followed. After our meals we decided to pay up individually so we all paid for what we ordered. At the bar. All was well until one of our group decided to ask if a service charge had been added, the reply was from the landlord of yes it had. Our group member asked for it to be removed in a polite manner as he explained it should be down to the customer to pay this not automatically. Having worked in pubs for many years myself this is a perfectly reasonable request, the fact we did most of the service for them by going to the bar to pay and get our drinks and no follow up after food served, meant the service charge of 10% not even shown on receipt, deceiving customers who leave a tip not realising the service charge has also been added. The landlord flew off the rails calling my group member a F king W! £er and a horrible man many times infront of the other customers, raging and abusive behaviour followed when he cornered my group member outside the pub as we were leaving. This behavior was so unacceptable and unbelievable, towards a man in his late 60s who never raised his voice once. So to all potential customers check your receipt before you leave the establishment and for a bill breakdown brace yourself for a full torrent of abuse before you are kicked out of the pub because of a service charge they have not declaired properly. Never visiting again!!!!"

"A friend had recently moved to the area and myself and another friend were visiting for the weekend. After a walk up to The White Horse we looked for somewhere to have a bite to eat, this lovely pub looked like it ticked all the boxes. It was certainly busy when we arrived, which is always a good sign. We enjoyed salmon and dill linguine, mushroom and courgette linguine and fish and chips. We enjoyed all meals and there wasn’t a scrap of food left on the plates. The portions were generous so we really did it justice. Washed down by a very palatable glass of wine. The service was good, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit."

"We had an incredible experience at the College Farm today, as we always do. The staff is outstanding—ever since the new management took over, they have been exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic and much improved compared to before. Overall, the entire pub has seen significant enhancements. One of the best features is that we are allowed to bring our dogs, and the staff even goes the extra mile to cater to them. The service is top-notch, as the staff consistently strives to provide the best for their guests. Kudos to the management for their amazing work; there are lots of exciting plans for the near future, including various family events. This truly is the best pub in the area!"

"Visited this lovely pub after visiting friends in the village Lovely lady behind the bar Very welcoming Went into the garden for some air as it was so hot This is where i became sad There was a group of people in the smoking area Not sure if they was together but there was 3 men in particular One young and the other 2 older i believe was a couple but sorry not sure Was arranging to have drugs brought to them I know this is a village and things go on but why in the pub Such a shame I really hope the ownersare not involved Such a let down Please please please get rid of these people Such a lovely pub Love anne"
