"To Zee and all the team at the Kings Arms. The tudor Kings Arms Hotel is a hidden gem in a picture postcard town of old Amersham in Outer Metroland, Buckinghamshire. Yes, you can take the tube from Baker Street on 40 minutes. I first wish to commend the team for the excellent pre arrival assistance for our stay from 28th July. Unfortunately due to unexpected circumstances, I had to cut short our stay. Zee fully understood the situation and kindly cancelled us, Indeed the mark of a gentleman and good management understanding the circumstances Will return in happier circumstances. Also, having visited for lunch before, I would like to give credit to the quality items and service experienced. Thanks to all the team. Good job! David"

I was pleased to have taken my cousin to the Kings Arms as the wine, coffee and dessert were very good, not so the cheap cheese and crackers. The setting in the courtyard was nice for a summer visit and we hope to return. One of the better options in Old Amersham

Fabulous meal from Chef Sonakshi, her menu is inspired, the cooking fabulous with excellent attention to presentation and seasoning. If you haven't already been, give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Chef Sonakshi, we will be back. Karen and Billy.

Went to Old Amersham just for a look around. Felt peckish and liked the look of The King's Arms menu. The bacon and brie baguette was the best I've had anywhere in the world (or at least in any of the 100 visited and the fewer number serving same). The added cheese and sauce brilliant And really nice chips and coleslaw.

first visit for a business dinner. it was all right. eating is not a skin food, it is rather like quite standard gastro-pub food, and it was disappointing that on a non-busy night they would run out of some straight. but it is of a reasonable quality, and the service was in order. it was okay, not brilliant, but good enough

If I could give it a negative score I would! The pub is run by under 18’s that are never at the bar! It’s the worst service I have ever experienced. None of them are taught their job properly and the management don’t seem to care! There is no atmosphere and the maintenance man is always drunk. Not professional at all! I wouldn't waste your time visiting here!

Lovely pub to look at. Unfortunately we met for lunch and were dissapointed. The lunch was very basic. Not what it said on the menu. We were not asked if we wanted any sauces etc. The staff rushed off. We weren't asked if everything was alright, which unfortunately it wasn't. If you want a quiet lunch beware that teams of people were running about doing a company activity. We won't return to eat. We really want to support local business so it's a shame.

Not expecting much, having been here before, and did not get much. Disappointing. Two of us had the Bacon and Brie Baguette. What a shame. The bacon had not been trimmed of fat so every bite pulled out the stringy contents. Never did find any Brie in either of our sandwiches. I tried the Cole Slaw, as served on the side in an “egg cup”. Pretty tasteless. The baguette was good and fresh baked, just a pity about the contents. Service was OK but the ambiance (at lunch time) was non existent, dark and dingy with the requisite old timer at the bar sipping his pint for the afternoon. Oh, I have just been reminded, the chips were good. Sadly one of our group was given crisps.

"December 2021: Glad to be able to visit The Old Orchard at Christmas. They always have a real fire going and mulled wine. Unfortunately, they hadn't started the mulled cider yet but, had a hot toddy; both were wonderful. Well done guy's for offering these. The food , for starters we shared prawn salad, very refreshing. My partner had the chicken and leek pie which was yummy. I had the salmon, which was disappointing, dry and bland, the veggie accomplishment were tasty. January 2020: I really like this place and come here regularly. Looking forward to coming in summer. Having been here many times over the last 4 months, I have to say the menu is limited and boring. Very surprised they haven't thought of changing it or varying it a bit. Also wish they had a few more cosy tables and chairs. Apart from the 1st time we came always get put on a small table for 2 despite asking for a square 4 table and plenty being available. The service could be better, waiters don't write the order down and then forget to bring you drinks. Despite the above I still like this place but, it's these things that is the difference between nice and amazing. December 2019: Came here on Christmas Eve and had a lovely evening. September 2019:Went to The Old Orchard for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. I hadn't booked a table so we had to wait an hour and a half. Which was fine as it was a nice evening we sat outside then had to move in due to it getting a bit chilly. Would have been nice if they had patio heaters, I would have liked to sit outside. Blankets would also be a nice touch. The views are amazing. Food was very good, facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and provided a great service. I will definitely be coming back."
