"Went to the Lion with my daughter, her partner and two young grandchildren for an off the cuff lunch. What a find!! The food was absolutely superb. I can honestly say the fish and chips was the best I have had in many a long year. Really crisp and crunchy batter surrounding a really fresh piece of fish with beautiful fluffy chips. My daughter and partner had burgers but these were not the run of the mill usual burgers. They looked home made and were succulent. As much care was taken with the children's meals. Puddings were great and homemade. If you want a great meal come here you will not be disappointed."

that was excellent! I and the woman went for our date night in the lion. I had the lion burger and the better half had the scampi. I can honestly say it was the best meal I ever had. the best thing was that it was made to eat home! chips had to die and the melt in the middle burger was sensational. amazing hospitality and friendly people. they would be highly recommended!

7 of us were booked last Sunday for the birthday of my father and we had a nice 3-course menu. the starters were great and Sunday dinner was just as good, especially the gravy and yorkshire puddings! some of the best I cost. it had all felt a very cooked home. choc brownie for desert, which was very tasty. beautiful relaxed atmosphere and very inexpensive, will definitely return.

We only visited due to a minor mix up with a booking elsewhere for a family gathering and it was a very good alternative. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and tidy, which makes a huge difference. Plenty of drink options, and the food was well presented and hot when it arrived. I'd definitely recommend the onion rings "doughnuts in particular. Will certainly be calling in again.

I came back from a beautiful Valentine's Day. the pub was beautifully decorated for valentines, music in the background. the new decor is beautiful, what an improvement, it looks modern, clean and up-to-date. what the food wore fabulous 10 out of 10 (also for a picky veggie! the staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. the top marks all around. I can say that we are back and I would definitely join my friends.

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
