"Today was my first visit to this restaurant on Friday, March 22nd, 2022. There is a car park located next to the pub. My party and I were in the area visiting Bolsover Castle and decided to stop in for drinks and toast before exploring the castle. We returned for lunch later in the day and were very impressed with the cleanliness and great atmosphere of the establishment. The food we had on both visits was delicious, the staff was friendly and customer-focused, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a lovely place to dine."

We visited Bolsover Castle and then stopped at The Pillar Of Rock next door for a soft drink after a long walk. It was nothing special, but a decent place to rest. The customers around us did not seem pleased with their food, so we decided not to eat there. Overall, it was just okay.

This restaurant serves very poor quality food! The portions are very small, with just one spoonful of mushed peas accompanying the fish, which is appalling! The staff are arrogant and impolite. I will never go back again. It would be better to go to the local fish and chip shop. Avoid this place at all costs! Price per person ranges from £10 to £20. Food, service, and atmosphere all rate a 1 out of 5. The only recommended dish is the Fish and Chips.
