"Outstanding Food for very reasonable price considering the cost of everything on the up at the moment! The Crispy Chilli Beef starter was amazing. I'd arguably say better than many Chilli Beefs you get in a Chinese Takeaway. A Lasagne is a Lasagne so they say.... Get yourself down the Crown and they'll prove you wrong. Homemade and served Piping hot with chips so crunchy and hot you have to wait a few minutes to tuck in.... Worth it! The cheesecake of the Day Chocolate and Caramel was not an ordinary cheesecake.... I will say no more on this as you've got to try it! I could barely walk out of the pub for two reasons. One because the staff, the atmosphere and the settings in the pub were terrific. And two because I ate so much because it was **** lovely! Will 100% be coming here again and I've been told they do a banging carvery too! All the best! X"

"We visited the restaurant on a Monday afternoon and were surprised by the number of people dining there on a cold, dreary day in January. However, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Our table had stunning views overlooking the countryside. The service was exceptional, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The lunch menu was extensive and the food was delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. I will definitely be returning. "To find this pub is easy because there are convenient signs from the main road up to the place. We called in for a drink and decided to stay for an evening meal. The food was excellently presented and very tasty. I had pork tenderloin with the most lemony flavoured mushrooms I have ever eaten it came with dauphinois potatoes and a salad. The potatoes were cooked to perfection but the salad was just too much to eat. My wife had liver and bacon casserole with vegetables and new potatoes and again it was delicious but the portions exceeded our appetites. The service was reasonably quick and very friendly and it certainly is a place we would eat in again if we were in the area. A warm welcoming pub with great food. Well worth a visit.p.s. Apparently there are two pubs with the same name in this area. We will have to visit the other one some time to compare."

"came here yesterday! what a beautiful place it is. the decor is so beautiful and the eating was amazing! the sticky toffee pudding with baileys ice cream was one of the best I ever had! only feedback would be that no one checked on us to see how our starters and net were and the other is the portion sizes are huge! not that my partner was complained. we will definitely recommend and return"

"Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues. Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time. Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really. There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs. Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor. The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together. Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay. Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again."
