"Though The Cellar is in plain sight from the road, we had a little trouble finding it. We’re not used to addresses like “The Diamond,” which is just a little kind of extended semi-circle of businesses. So, we were late for our reservation, but the folks couldn’t have been nicer. I had a delicious Caesar salad for a starter; my husband had an amazing smoked salmon appetizer with herbed cheese. We then both had the prosciutto rolled monkfish and a chocolate strawberry roulade for dessert. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was very friendly and helpful. We loved the cozy atmosphere as well. All in all, a wonderful dining experience on our first day in Northern Ireland!"

"I can't find any faults with this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and even remembered me from my phone booking. They were very hospitable. The food was amazing, high quality dishes at a great price. I started with the crab claws, which were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. My salad was also very tasty. My partner had the stuffed pork fillet with scallops and couldn't stop raving about it. The pork fillet was incredibly tender and the black pudding was fantastic. We both had the chicken stack for our main, a simple dish executed perfectly. The champ was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the whiskey cream was decadently delicious. It was a BYOB restaurant, which was great, but unfortunately we were driving so we couldn't bring our own wine. The staff were excellent in terms of social distancing and wearing masks. The bathrooms were clean and it was easy to see if there was a line so we could easily socially distance. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I will definitely be returning to."

"Went to the Anzac with family on New Year’s Day. There were of us and that was no problem for the very friendly staff. We had a lovely table sat together. Our waiter named Fenton I found out later was very friendly helpful and...informative. There were adults and children and he looked after us all extremely well. The food was delicious We all had starters and a main course which were priced very competitively. We would have stayed for dessert only we were taking the children down to the seafront for ice cream. Thanks to all the lovely staff at the Anzac for a lovely meal and afternoon out on New Year’s Day. We cannot wait to return to Ballycastle and of course The Anzac."

"Went down Ballycastle town for dinner. We had wanted fish and chips and had heard there was a nice chipper at the waterfront but because it was Monday evening it was closed. So Marconi’s restaurant was close by and we managed to get a table. First we waited ages to be served. We didn’t really mind that because we were glad of the table when we hadn’t made a booking. Eventually we were served. Then it took another age for the food to be served. Three out of four of us ordered the battered fish and chips and my daughter ordered the beef burger. When the food came I knew straight away that it wasn’t going to be a nice meal. The battered fish pon all three plates was overcooked to a very dark brown colour with the ends being rock hard crispy. It was also so so greasy. Obviously it is deep fried fish but it’s deep fried everywhere else we get the same dish and the batter is always light and fluffy. We didn’t complain because we were absolutely starving at this stage. The chunky chips were alright, again overcooked but not as much as the fish. It also came with mushy peas. We ate the dish, I shared a small bit with my daughter cause I couldn’t finish it because it was horrible. My sons complained about it also but they ate theirs. We paid up and left. The young members of staff were nice and polite. I left a tip because of that, not the food. When we went back to the hotel all three of us felt a bit sick after the meal. I felt the worst and went to bed hoping to go asleep. An hour and a half later I ended up vomiting the entire meal back up. The boys didn’t. They still felt a bit sick, they said it was one of the worst meals they’ve ever had. I don’t think the fish was in any way gone off, it was the disgusting batter. Surely a restaurant that seems to specialise in fish dishes could manage a nice battered fish. Seemingly not. My daughter said her burger was fine, not bad, not good, just fine. Complete waste of money. Also, I saw a senior member of staff clapping her hands to get the attention of customers to bring them to their table. I was shocked at that behaviour."

"I ordered ice cream for me and a co-worker through door dash. We both chose the banana foster and indicated what kind of ice cream we wanted and what topping. My co-worker asked for vanilla soft serve and I specifically wrote chocolate soft serve and put that if it was not available to call me. I received a call a little after I placed the order to be told they didn't have banana fosters (even though it is on their menu) and that they would put everything into a large cup instead. They also said they didn't have caramel which my co-worker wanted. We asked her if we would at least get the bananas since we couldn't get what we ordered (the order came out to about $26.00 with the tax and delivery charge and tip). She informed us that they didn't have bananas either. My co-worker asked about butterscotch which again they said they didn't have. My co-worker agreed to peanut butter and hot fudge instead. Our ice creams were delivered and they were both made with vanilla ice cream and they never put the whip cream or the Bordeaux cherries that I ordered on it either (I don't eat vanilla ice cream). Obviously they never bothered to read what I wrote. I called them and told them that they did not send me what I ordered. They said to have the door dasher return it and they will make me a new one. I told them I would have to pay the delivery charge and order it again on door dash. Even though they offered to pay the delivery charge I was not going to place another order. It's bad enough that they were offering something on Door Dash that they didn't have and didn't have 1/2 the things we asked for, but they could have at least got my order right. I ate the strawberries that were in it and threw out the rest of the ice cream because I do not eat vanilla ice cream. If I could give them negative stars I would. I will never order from them again."
