Top pub, excellent food with good service. A great find and will certainly be going back for more. Great ambiance and very cozy good beers as well.

Sunday lunch with family pleased to find the Rising Sun has returned to good form (decent portions, well cooked, very pleasant service), after a bit of a hiatus around

We had a wonderful Sunday dinner at this restaurant. The beef was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We plan to return and enjoyed seeing that it is a dog-friendly pub. They welcome all furry friends! Visualizza piatti

What a lovely little find. Tucked away but well worth the trip out for great food friendly staff. Just brilliant that our dog is made so welcome and you don’t feel uncomfortable about having him around, even inside. Lovely portion sizes and the chocolate...Brownie is the best I’ve ever had. Definitely will be back again.

wow wow tasty tasty well seasoned pub food we were a big party to celebrate together cat and john and the team held the food come, and the drinks of the standard of eating and the service was so good that it reminded me of how British pubs were earlier. the food was hot and tastefully pissed! it felt like home! many thanks for such a wonderful day! we will be colleen again and michael

The food used to be pub food done very well. Now it's just very average. Veg either almost raw (which I liked) or so overcooked it is like school dinners (which is so retro). The rest meh! together it needs to try much...harder. Staff are super polite just not that well trained. e.g. for one teacup of hot chocolate. Seriously? It just aint that good zero ambience and it was quite cold inside. Charge me more I don't care but make it good not deeply average please. Visualizza piatti

Witheridge Hill at Highmoor Cross is a bit off the beaten track, but my ancestor came from there so we went there for a day trip. The staff at the pub were super friendly and the food was great. Its a Breakspears Pub so my...husband loved the real ale. I f you are in the area I would highly recommend it. The advantages over lunching at Henley on Thames were more peaceful and free parking. If you want to pop down to Henley its not far, but I would definitely eat here first.

I have been to the Rising Sun several times since early and it is such a lovely little cosy pub (especially when the fire is on Kate and John have done such a lovely job with redecorating during lockdown and it now looks better...than ever! I've had the sticky belly pork bites to start with, then the prime beef burger which were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection Previously having the roast pork (on many occasions I can't recommend them enough! If only I lived closer I'd be there all the time!

warm and welcoming like a home from home! we visit this pub at special locations as it is an hour away from home, but it is always so worth the greeting they receive is so warm, the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient the atmosphere. is beautiful with a log fire that burns away and finally eating, hearty, large portions, well presented and easy feel as if they went back to home to “Mums” for dinner! I never order a roast everywhere, because nothing compares with my mums, but here is the only exception! Many thanks that they cate to us again hosting us and john was perfect as usual!
