"Just back from lunch and wow, service was excellent prompt and friendly. Food was, pub grub , standards and choice were definitely above average. The quality is outstanding. I had the steak and Stilton pie and it was spot on. Steak was tender and the Stilton had a real punch to it. Wife and daughter who were with me were equally impressed. Certainly visiting again. Visited again today and still lives up to our expectations. Wife had Beef Lasagne and it was very tasty. The staff as usual are always welcoming and efficient. Service: 5 Location: 5"

Is it a pub or is it just a restaurant? If you want to go for just a drink don’t bother because there is nowhere to sit unless you are eating. Especially bad on Thursday night when the quiz is on Service: 1

I enjoyed the meal, although the service was quite slow. However, it was a Sunday lunchtime, so I understand. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and I would definitely go back again. Overall, I would rate the service a 4 out of 5.

We went for a meal, date night. The food was exemplary, superb. Looking at the menu £26 for a steak looked a bit expensive. I was blown away with the quality of the food, so much so i left a tip, I'm not a tipper! Go, eat, enjoy, you will not be disappointed, we will definitely go again. Service: 3

We gathered for a family birthday celebration with around 15 of us and placed our orders in advance. Everyone enjoyed their meals, which were served in generous portions and cooked to order. The drink selection was excellent as well. The atmosphere was lively, but it added to the fun of the evening. Overall, a great experience!

I believe this pub underwent a transformation just before the pandemic hit, which was unfortunate timing, but it has become quite popular among young people! I've tried several dishes from the menu, and I can assure you that everything I've eaten is well-prepared and delicious. The portions are generous, too. I highly recommend the house-made cake, lasagna, and the fish and chips—they're all fantastic!
