The Ship Inn - Piatti

Went with family for Sunday roast. Lovely pub, very cosy and coffee was amazing. I will definitely return as my parents are regulars. The staff are friendly and provided great service.

I stopped by last night to meet friends for a drink. Two drinks cost £14!!!! I was shocked by the price. There was no available seating, so we had to stand at the bar. This will be my last visit!

Paid £45 for two Sunday roasts with two soft drinks and two ice cream deserts. I’m happy to pay for good food but the food was truly awful. We were both ill afterwards. The tables and chairs were grotty. I would not go back again. Visualizza piatti

Came for Sunday lunch the food was Luke warm and the service was very slow and ad hoc we had to ask about our main courses as the lamb came out , but the beef lunches were sat in the kitchen for over 20 minutes until we asked for them the same with the deserts half of our party were served then a long wait for the remainder of the deserts.

Awful! Seafood was inedible not eaten. Prawns burnt to a crisp. Fish overcooked, chips overcooked. Chef not interested when complained said “that’s the way it comes”. Well no, that’s not how you cook food maybe you should get a new career. Try eating it yourself! Service from waiting staff was prompt and friendly but nothing else good to say. No discount or refund offered despite food not being eaten. My recommendation is eat elsewhere.

I went to this restaurant on New Year's Eve with my family for dinner. I ordered what I thought was a gluten-free main course with vegetables, but I was forced to also order a starter that I did not want because it was part of a two-course menu. When my main course arrived, it came with two large pieces of bread that were not gluten-free. When I asked about the vegetables, I was told that they did not come with the main course and I had to pay an additional £4 for just sprouts. I visited The Ship Inn on February 20th with my family for Sunday dinner, and I have to say it was the best Sunday dinner I have ever had at a restaurant! We ordered the lamb and the pork, both of which were juicy and tender. The dessert selection was also impressive, although the bratkartoffeln were just okay. The attention to detail in the extras that came with the meal, such as the engraved teapots, added to the overall experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making for a lovely afternoon. We went to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We ordered 5 roasts with sides, nachos, and pasta for a child. When the plates came out for the roast platter, they were freezing as if they had been left outside. The platter itself came out cold, not even slightly warm, and to make matters worse, we found a huge hair in the nachos. Despite the poor experience, no manager came to address the issue, and the young waitress was very apologetic. We asked her to take everything back and only paid for our drinks, which we had only taken a few sips of.

We visited on a Sunday for roast dinner with the family. We waited an hour for the starter to come out, and by the time we got our mains we had been there 2 hours! We were not updated to why our food was so late, until we asked about this when paying. The waitress was rude and obnoxious, she clearly wasn’t interested and made excuse after excuse and passed the blame on to junior members of staff. We were ignored even though the pub appeared to be quiet. We didn’t get what we ordered, there were problems with the food from start to finish and the food was disgusting and definitely not worth the money.
