Highly recommend this pub, we went on a bank holiday weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is nice and they have a lot of outdoor space for the good weather. Food was really good too

My husband and I had Sunday roast which was lovely. Beef cooked perfectly for us and vegetables were nice and hot. I had the salted caramel and chocolate brownie with ice cream. Good size portions. The staff gave us a warm welcome and service was prompt and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Excellent! A more welcoming pub, I've yet to find. Not only were the staff and manager really accommodating, the food was wonderful too. All our party's whims were catered for and we all felt valued. The beer is excellent, the wine choices offer something for everyone and you have such a beautiful setting in which to enjoy the time spent here.

The menu featured a wide variety of options to cater to all tastes, and everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of parking spaces available, and accessibility is very good. I recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant tends to get busy with locals, whom we also enjoyed chatting with. Can’t fault the meal we have just had but for years we have enjoyed Sunday Roast there and there’s usually a choice of roast Beef, Pork or Chicken. We were advised that all the meats except beef were now smoked. Not being a lover of beef, smoked food and just wanting a traditional roast my only other option on the Sunday Roast menu, was veggie, I disappointedly settled for scampi. I was told that’s how it is now so I’m afraid we shan’t be returning there for Sunday Lunch.

The food was extraordinary! I enjoyed the Cumberland sausage ring served with mashed potatoes and onion gravy, and I was amazed by the incredible burst of flavor. My partner ordered the rump steak, which was also cooked to perfection, just as we requested. And the key lime pie? Simply amazing! The pub has a cozy atmosphere, a great selection of drinks, and the staff are very welcoming, making you feel right at home. If you're ever in Dorset, this is a must-visit spot! We just returned from a delightful lunch. The Sunday roast was fantastic. I had the beef, which was cooked to perfection, while my partner enjoyed the vegetable Wellington, claiming it was the best he’d ever had. We also appreciated that the desserts were served on the side, allowing us to indulge just a little or a lot, depending on our mood. The cauliflower cheese looked incredible, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. Jay and his staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service.
