"During our visit to St Ives for a short break, we sought out a classic cornish crab sandwich, and the first place we found offering it on the menu was The Sloop Inn. Priced at £14.95, we had high expectations. However, we were quite disappointed with our order of two sandwiches. The crab was minimal, the mayo was scarce, and the lack of lemon juice was noticeable. The salad was decent but the dressing did not complement the crab. Despite ordering promptly at noon, the sandwiches were served on supermarket bread that was dry and appeared to be from the previous day. Overall, we were not impressed with the food at The Sloop Inn and ended up purchasing a much better sandwich from another establishment for £10.95. Unfortunately, we would not recommend dining at The Sloop Inn."

I will never go back to this restaurant. Everything was terrible, including the service. The food was just okay. It's not worth going here, you should go somewhere else. My son is upset above all.

I stopped by this restaurant to grab a quick bite during a downpour. I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, especially the small bar. The beer was top-notch and the food was affordable and delicious.

brilliant pub! excellent beer and personal were before place. Friday evening was music evening and it was a great night. Also eat very good, but best were the staff! very friendly and helpful....definitely go back there! two nights in the "coxwains cabin". small but clean, very comfortable! highly recommended!

I absolutely adored this place and admired many paintings while in St. Ives. This charming and historical pub is a lot of fun. Whether you choose to sit outside with a delicious pint in the sun, taking in the scenery, or enjoy a fantastic lunch inside the pub, you won't be disappointed. We tried the fish and chips and they were absolutely delicious.

I had a solo dinner at the captain's table without a reservation. The staff was very friendly and all the tables had a good view of the harbor. I started with a well-cooked meal and had a dessert that was not on the menu, which the server kindly accommodated. This was one of my first times eating alone and it was a great experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We spent a week at The Lookout for my birthday starting on March 5th. The room had an incredible view overlooking the bay, exceeding all of our expectations. The staff at The Sloop were fantastic, and we dined at the restaurant multiple times, each meal being amazing. To top off the week, there was a fantastic night of music with great entertainment. I can't wait to go back. Such amazing memories were made.

While enjoying a stroll in St Ives, we decided to take a break and have a drink. There were ten of us in total, and we chose to sit outside on a nice sunny day. Two of us went to the bar to order drinks while one of the kids went to the restroom. A comment was made about everyone using the restroom and not buying any drinks, even though we were actually ordering ten drinks at that moment. Unfortunately, the toilets were in poor condition, so we would not return, despite the restaurant's great location and beautiful interior.
