"5 stars are based on the cheeseboard I had. I am very, very hard to please when it comes to cheeseboards. Many local eateries (and even abroad actually) you are promised a cheeseboard only to be handed a sorry excuse for an anaemic looking side plate. The Farmers provides a cheeseboard with strength. A generous serving of three local cheese with an appropriate amount of crackers. They do not scimp on the good stuff. I am relieved to have found an establishment worthy of calling themselves a cheeseboard provider. I also was there for an open mic night. The atmosphere was lovely, locals and staff alike were very friendly and welcoming."

"We really enjoyed our meal at The Bull. It was hands down the best meal we had on our break in the country. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the pub itself had a lively vibe.The selection of meals was varied and original a cut above your usual pub grub. A vegan dish wouldn't normally be my preference but the flavours in their miso glazed aubergine were so profound that I found myself rhapsodising over it! My partner chose their Chicken Schnitzel which he said was the best he'd tried (and he's a big fan of schnitzel! The winning element, he said, was the amazing accompanying mushroom sauce. The children's menu was equally as varied and our daughter's mac and cheese with garlic bread was a success. Throughout, the service was consistently good and the waiting staff really went out of their way to make our meal a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back!"

"Hands down the best cheese ploughman’s I’ve had. Really friendly staff and idyllic village location. They kindly refroze my ice packs and allowed our school students to refill their water bottles and use the loo on their camping expedition. We’ll be back next year. Service: 5 Location: 5"

"Absolutely phenomenal support from the umbrella outside, truly made my night spectacular. It provided me divine protection from the devil of downpour. The staff were delightful and attentive. Not to mention the vast selection of beverages available. In the words of Anton Ego 'Last night, I experienced something new, an extra-ordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau 's famous motto: 'Anyone can cook. ' But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. ' Most pleasureable x"

"What a great Italian Restaurant in the heart of the village of Lindfield. The staff very attentive and knowledgeable of all the dishes. Great atmosphere and with Halloween soon, the decorations very spooky, perfect for a party. We ordered Gnocchi Pesto Pasta Bolognaise, brilliant and exceptional! To accompany the meal a tasty salad with black olives. Well worth a visit and going back soon Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selection Service: Take out"
