"Staff was unwelcoming and cold. Food was good and so if the location but how can you enjoy when the lady who serves makes you feel like she doesn't even want you there. I see that a lot of people have shared this feedback about the staff but clearly it's hasn't been heard or worked on. I would love to go back but only after the staff smile (even if it's fake! to welcome new customers. I remember waiting for my turn to order a drink but the old lady at the bar ignored me and asked the regular customer to order. That's rude."

Enjoyed a very nice medium rump steak, and my friend said the scampi was good. Always been a great food pub. Nice pleasant staff and food was well priced

Local pub serving well prepared standard fare. Car Park is monitored and enforced so make sure you enter your registration number in tablet at the bar to avoid a fine!!

Went for a funeral wake. Food good. Seating good. Car Park is good, shame. It is right next door to a school and traffic problems along the road if you go there as the school chucks out.

Food was delicious, once it arrived. Had to wait for a coffee which they'd completely forgotten about and then when we ordered dessert that took ages to arrive. Beef roast was really lovely, but no horse radish.

Really enjoyed a family Easter Sunday lunch here today. Excellent service. Great amount of choice on the menu. Such good value for money. Thank you for deconstructing an Eaton Mess for my granddaughter We certainly will be visiting again.

A welcoming pub with a decent selection of beers. I've not eaten here so cannot comment on this aspect. The interior is a tad dated with notably carpeted throughout. This is likely one of the reasons this is not a dog friendly pub; a real shame given the location and many local dog owners. I'd rate 4 stars if dogs were allowed.

Booked for a post funeral buffet never having been here before. It is always nerve-wracking putting your faith in the unknown for a special occasion but the food was good, staff pleasant and cost good. Perhaps the chips could come out in relays to keep them hot for all but that is a small suggestion. Glad we chose the Talbot Inn.
