"It is disappointing to see the recent negative reviews of this restaurant. My friends and I always dine here when we visit Wroxham, and we have missed our trips during lockdown. Yesterday, we went with friends for coffee on the terrace before our boat trip and booked a table for lunch upon our return. Initially, it was a bit challenging to find staff, but we later learned they were short-staffed. Given the difficult times that many hospitality venues have faced in the last 18 months, we arrived at our favorite place with no expectations, just happy that they were still open and eager to support them. Our drinks were served promptly, and we enjoyed the view of the river from the terrace. For lunch, we sat outside again and all four of us enjoyed our meals – haddock and chips, a burger for my husband and friends, and I opted for the seafood platter with a generous portion of chips. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. The service was excellent, and our waiters were quick to bring everything we needed. We are looking forward to returning soon, perhaps for Sunday lunch."

Went to have a nice evening drink next to the river and decided to choose Hotel Wroxham. The place itself is nice but needs updating a little. However, we were not impressed at the way the manager Wendy, spoke to her staff. To say she...

Went there for Lunch and ordered sandwiches, Crab on Granary and Sausage on white. To my disappointment my Husbands looked amazing but mine came out on TOASTED bloomer, didn't want a TOASTED sandwich, menu never stated this and was confusing for this to happen. Dessert...

Visited today and this was the worst cappacino I've ever had, the latte was disgusting and more like dishwater! The hot chocolate was watery and tasted horrible. They are charging Costa coffee prices but would not recommend this place at all. If you want a decent coffee or drink go somewhere else. Complete rip off.

We were fortunate to secure an outdoor table with a view of the river, allowing us to enjoy our lunch while taking in the scenic surroundings. We all opted for sandwiches, which were served with a generous portion of fries, making for a satisfying meal. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. The burger also caught our eye...

My partner and I visited for lunch, hoping for a unique dining experience away from typical tourist options. We enjoyed a tasty seafood cocktail with prawns and smoked salmon, although it was a bit difficult to eat due to the container not being very user-friendly with just a knife and fork. The scallops and smoked salmon and haddock with chowder sauce were delicious. The lamb cutlets were decent, and the pork belly was okay. Visualizza piatti

We had lunch today and as usual the food was great, bar staff excellent as were the two girls that served us..... but the thing with the bluey grey hair was obnoxious from the start., Evil looks, being really loud and pushing past us etc, we asked for the bill and he slapped it down on the table (this is the short version of events). We arn’t sure what his problem was, maybe because we turned up whislt he was talking and he didn’t like it.. not sure... but this level of unprofessionalism is not the standard we are used to or expect from the Wroxham Hotel. It’s a shame as this would have been a 5 start review otherwise.

It was a long time ago that I last visited here. I had met the manager recently and he invited me to come and visit. It was very busy but the staff were excellent. They paid attention to the needs of the customers. I felt safe and happy. The terrace was good and bright. It looked clean, I went for the Haddock and chips. Beautifully cooked, it was crisp but fluffy inside. Excellent. My lemonade was good as well. Attention to detail was good, I loved the fish and chip newspaper under my food. Well done. I chose a desert, sadly the fruit option was missing so I tried a different dessert. It was good but not really my choice. It was a bit small but delightfully presented, always important to me....

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
