"*Updated review* The last time I visited I didn’t have a great experience and as such left a poor and honest review. However I had heard good things from friends so I gave it a second try 10 months on. So fair is fair, it is only right I update my review. This time the food was nicely presented and very good. (Almost night and day from my last visit). The burger came with a nice side salad and fries. The fish and chips came with home made Chucky chips and generous portions. Based on my last visit I would recommend this place. Original review Bit of a disaster tonight. Came for a family meal and chose from the specials board. It was initially served with wraps until I pointed out it was advertised with rice. When the rice did come it was awful… and I mean inedible. It was more like mashed potato. My order was then kindly changed to a cheese burger and fries. The chips were not cooked through and raw and the bun was solid (as if it hadn’t quite been defrosted properly) I am surprised as I saw other burgers coming out of the kitchen with side salads and all nicely presented. Can only think that the kitchen was overstretched… on a positive the servers were very attentive and polite."

As ever the White Swan ticks all the boxes Good Food Good Service Football on the TVs (son happy) Good quiz on as well as was Tuesday night (also Pizza/Pasta deal on Tuesdays). Deserves all the 5 reviews.

Fairly standard pub grub fayre. Nothing really wrong with it, just not very original or exciting Useful hostelry for the village Menus are hard to read though.. the idea is sound, imitation planks of wood, but the text doesn't show up well.. the management might reconsider this? Visualizza piatti

What a lovely place! The food was exceptional, we had sweet chilli sizzling king prawns, Hunters Chicken and the Lamb burger, all were delicious. We also had desserts, Eton Mess the Waffle with Crunchie salted caramel ice Cream, huge portion! Good menu with lots of choices, definately recommend a visit!

We came to this pub whilst on holiday in Wylam. It is a really welcoming pub and all the staff are extremely friendly. The food is out of this world. Fresh ingredients and generous portions. My son had fajitas and the chicken was done freshly on a sizzing plate. If you are in the area, you must pay it a visit.
