"shortly after the opening on Thursday evening. the pub is picturesque and in a beautiful location. we were greeted by a cheerful bubbly dame, who even the dog feel welcome by stanley a different fluffy visitor. the drinks were served immediately and the menu is perverse. a sirloin steak and two grilled trout were ordered. the portions were very generous and the fish was very delicious. no place for desserts. the service was great, couldn't owe anything. the dog even has a bowl of water and cookies what they want more."

Charming pub dating back to the 15th century. Dog-friendly area in the front and a restaurant in the back. Cozy wood-burning fire. The staff is very friendly. Just be careful of the low ceilings!

On our way back from a girls' weekend getaway, we decided to stop for a late lunch at the Woolpack. The portions were generous, and the food was absolutely delicious. With such a thoughtfully curated menu, it was hard to choose what to order. We were so full that we couldn't even fit in dessert! The prices were quite reasonable, and the service was excellent. It's a shame, but while this brewery pub offers decent beer, it's not really to my taste. However, the food was fantastic as always—truly excellent pub fare with generous portions. The atmosphere of the beautiful, traditional pub makes it a great place to spend time. I could easily spend all day there if the beer selection were better, but I definitely recommend it for the food, which is very affordable as well. Just wish I could stop grumbling about the beer choices!
