Very disappointed, medium cod and chips. fish very oily and a little tasteless, barely drained from the fryer. Tiny portion of chips Tartar sauce was delicious though. Shame it was a 60th birthday treat from my daughter. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We came to this restaurant with my Mum and Dad at their recommendation yesterday. We were extremely happy with everything. The food is amazing and the service is too. The food was superb, the service was fantastic, and I have never had better fish and chips in the past 50 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had dinner there and the price per person ranged from £20–30. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, as well as the cod and haddock dishes. The overall experience was top-notch with a rating of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere.

Simply fantastic as a place to get fish and chips in Whitby and bar far the best! Well worth a visit. Was a queue when we went at 1245, but only a wait of 15mins or so. Takes American Express and baby changing facilities are upstairs. Kids menu provided and staff are more than helpful to all needs. Has high chairs. Alcohol served as well!! Went here on Thursday 12th October. We have always loved going here but unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit this time. The prices had risen quite a lot since our last visit. We had regular Haddock and chips but felt it was rather bland, not as tasty as usual. The chips were well cooked, not greasy, but there were a lot of very thin bits. Definitely not up to the usual standard that we are used to here. We added bread and mushy peas but were given a bread bun , not the usual slices of bread.
