the restaurant vivant is tiny small, we had to eat at the bar despite reservation. was cooked directly before our eyes (behind the bar). eating was very good, the service nice, the prices rather low (especially for paris).

Good for nice glasses of wine, nice conversation and a bit of tapas on the side. Food is cooked by the counter in case you're wondering where the kitchen is. I personally liked the sparkling wine the most. There is usually a peculiar colour wine too which could be a nice alternative

Ci siamo stati una sera, devo dire che l'atmosfera è accogliente, anche se come molti posti a Parigi, luogo molto piccolo. Ci siamo accomodati al banco dove abbiamo potuto osservare lo Chef che prepara al momento cibi semplici ma ricchi di fantasia. Abbiamo assaggiato vari piatti, come dalle foto. We had beans and a fussilini dishes in this quite small place, very typical to old cities.Weren't sure if the kitchen would be still open, as we arrived a bit after 23:00, but it was to our delight.The staff here is amazing - the have fun and make the customers have fun.Food was superb with lovely small additions by the cooks, that make the food (at least some of it) behind the bar and the process is "on the plate" before you.So great attitude, great food & wine - a must visit if around.

living cellar was my canteen, a kindness waiter, knew wine by heart, not to mention the chef. We went to see the new living with the change of owner and leader (early 2017): the cata! the waiter did not serve me at all the desired type of wine (from the south and fruity and nature, not complicated), or end of the second test, he put me 3 bottles on the counter and told me to test those. The food is okay, but not fine and tasty.What a blues blow! I want to cry in front of it. It was nice and classy, now it's bobobof. The team would be perfect to hold a bar with a good sound.

Chose this primarily as other reviewers said it was a friendly place when dining alone and I found that to be true. I reserved and was seated at the bar, where I was well looked after. This is a truly TINY place (?25 people when full) and very popular. The chef cooks right behind the bar so you can watch everything. Food is very simple with limited choices but it was all delicious and interesting. Got good advice for interesting wines by the glass. If you are alone though be aware this is not the best part of Paris.... I felt a bit uncomfortable walking by myself especially after dark. I would say don't miss if you are in the neighborhood.
