We stoped at the sunset for desert. Kaiserscmarn and palatchinken. Both were good and tasty. Terrace Is very good located and view Is nice.

Für diese gehobenen Preise hätte ich mir schon was anderes erwartet, als die auch sonst überall üblichen 08/15-Gerichte. Das freundliche Personal konnte das leider nicht ausgleichen ...

Man kann ziemlich sicher sein, hier gutes Essen zu bekommen. Kein Sternelokal, aber gehobene Hausmannskost. Draußen auf der Terrasse ist es noch schöner, man hat wunderbaren Blick über die Donau.

Wir waren zu viert im Restaurant Zum König Essen. Die Qualität war echt gut, saßen gemütlich auf der Terasse und konnten gut verweilen. Wir aßen Pfannenkuchensuppe, Leber, Cordon Bleu, Schnitzel Wiener Art und als Dessert Eis. Wir werden dort wieder hingehen, Preis Leistungsverhältnis hat auch gepasst. Wir können dies nur empfehlen. Stumbled upon the restaurant while walking around Passau and apparently we were lucky to find a table, it was full, a good sign in itself. Lunch was typically local, albeit with a hint of the Balkans in the service,Schnitzel for me, my wife had a very nice fish dish, Canadian Perch, Service was quick and the local (Passauer) beer quite nice, followed by a slice Apfel Strudel in hot vanilla sauce. At 50 Euros for 2, followed by an expresso, I would say it was worth it.

We got into Passau late, and so finding dinner was a challenge. So we ended up eating in their restaurant which was right next door to our hotel ... Hotel Konig. We were so glad to have a glass of wine and just sitting down. It was realllllly cold outside and we were quite tired from the walk from the train station.The service was wonderful and we were very happy with our dinner selection and dessert which we never order. When in Passau, you should eat at this restaurant. It really was a wonderful surprise since it was in a hotel.

We came across this restaurant during our stroll through the cobble stoned lanes in the old quarter of Passau. The restaurant is part of a hotel and has a big terrace overlooking the river. We were lucky to wrestle a table right next to the wall overlooking the Danube. The menu is modern German with a good selection of fish. My wife had the trout which was fresh and tasty. I went for the seasonal asparagus platter with ham. We shared one big ice cream with hot raspberry sauce. The portions are generous and offer value for money. Service was a bit rushed and could have been a tad friendlier. I guess the many tourists from the river cruise boats make the place a bit transient in character. Visualizza piatti
