"we booked, but when we arrived there, although fire was lit, it was quite dark and very cold. they were seven of us 2 were very older, the staff was very good, got my onkel a little heating and they all looked at us. the meal was very good, hot and good choice and so were the drinks, the staff was excellent in always and tables were clean and tidy too. we are here now a few times and will come back when we visit our tante / onkel soon. we will not work on all so difficult day with boiler / heating"

"Lovely, small and cozy traditional country pub! Great selection of drinks (gins, wines, beer and soft drinks and food and lovely attentive staff. We went after traveling back from Cheltenham wanted a nice pub meal and we got exactly what we wanted. The food was fab, and as already stated the staff were attentive and noticed when we wanted another drink. It was served quickly and my request for no peas was accommodated (most restaurants do not do this no allergy but I don't like peas! and no peas were served with my fish and chip meal. We enjoyed a game of pool afterwards and felt welcome with the locals despite not being from the area. There's a lovely warm cozy feeling about the the pub, and we are going to go back for a Sunday roast very soon! Highly recommend, might be a little out of the way but well worth the visit."

"Today myself and my husband with his guide dog went for lunch. We were met by a pleasant girl who said she did not know if she could let us in with a guide dog. We said guide dogs are allowed under law. She checked...with her colleague who said he would check with his manager. He came back and said no dogs allowed. We again pointed out under the law we are allowed as he is a guide dog. He said no because of health and hygiene and COVID. The young girl suggested we sit outside with a heater and blanket. We asked to see the manager. She was very abrupt and said we could not come in. It was her policy. I said they were breaking the law add would she turn someone away in a wheelchair? She said of course not. My husband pointed out his dog was his aid and she was discriminating him for having a disability. This was humiliating and upsetting for us all. She was totally unsympathetic and spoke to us like dirt. How a manager with no people skills and a complete ignorance of the law can be put in charge is beyond me. This will be reported and will be followed up as my husband is a former manager of the Guide Dog Association and is well aware of the law. I don’t want anyone in this day and age to be treated like this. It is very upsetting and can kicks you in the teeth and knocks your confidence to come out and socialise. Absolutely disgusting service."

"We went to this restaurant for Mother's Day and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff, and the food was excellent. Both my mother and I are vegetarian, and the meat replacement dishes were delicious. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"We had one of our best ever Valentine's day experiences at the Crown at Peopleton! My husband and I were made to feel very special and welcome by the attentive team. Many thanks go to Chef Amy for her delicious food! We were seated by a crackling log fire in the beautiful and tastefully decorated traditional thatched pub. I enjoyed butterflied prawns in cajun mayonnaise, steak cooked to perfection and crisp and fluffy chips for mains followed by profiteroles in white chocolate sauce. My husband devoured halloumi fries, homemade lasagna and lemon tart to finish. It was all excellent value for money and we will be returning! Our table was decorated in Valentine's theme heart confetti, with red roses and love hearts sweets as favours. All lovely, fun attention to detail that made our Valentine's day very romantic and memorable. Thank you so much! Hannah and Edwin"
