Full praise for the kitchen. The calf head was very tasty and the pump steak delicate. Everything is well selected for wine.

the backmulde is located in the middle of the old town, but it is in a side street you do not have the feeling of an overrun tourist restaurant. the ambiente is good, the service very good and the eating even better. also the service was very friendly and price performance also fits. a wonderful choice for a cozy evening in the old town. we are happy to come back!

in the old town and yet very quiet. room without view (was known) with window to the flur (so no fresh air and that was not known) breakfast excellent, just like the staff. several parking spaces available (against fee and that was also unknown.) a description of the way to book would be helpful, as the approach (because of the many one-way roads) is rather cumbersome.

a big group about us was in a serious conversation. so that everyone could follow some people, had to speak, but it remained polite and adult as not really disturbing in the did sign of life in a quiet road. Despite the great table, the...wait staff was busy they were attentive and helpful to serve us. veg suppe, callbsleber, a mini cream brûlée and a selection of cheeses were our evening pleasure with drinks. to go back, they ordered a taxi door to the door. where and whenever possible we like to sit outside, we took a table in the patio of the restaurant for dinner. the service was attentive and friendly. as an appetizer we got fresh bread, butter and marinated olives. more promising, followed by two really delicious main dishes: loup de mer on a risotto with dried tomato and a grilled thunfischsteak (medium,) with two glasses white wine: an auxerrois and a gray burgundy - both delicious. animated by the main courts, we chose a common dessert: a black forests chirschtorte in the glass. unfortunately it could not withstand the level of the net. too much butter and almost no chocolate cake floor. we were with son and friend during their visit to heidelberg in this restaurant. it is located in an interesting part of the old town. eating is really pretty good. we shared four 2 appetizers and 4 main dishes as well as 2 desserts after we had learned our lection in Germany about the portion size. Still, we were still quite tired. the duck, the calf and the pig were excellent and I cannot remember the fourth. the tuna carpaccio in the appetizer was beautiful. the service was somewhat arbitrary, as the waitress was clearly inexperienced. the wine card is quite reasonable. We got some fresh bread, butter and marinated olives as a starter. Promising opening followed by two real delicious...main courses: Loup de Mer on a risotto with dried tomatoes and a grilled Tuna steak (medium , accompanied by two glasses of white wine: an Auxerrois and a Grauer Burgunder both tasty as well.
