"The restaurant Akropolis is located in the heart of the market town of Türkheim in Unterallgäu. There are a few parking spaces available in front of the restaurant entrance. In the vicinity you can easily find further parking possibilities. I've been living in Türkheim for 10 years and, although I love Greek food, have made a bow around this restaurant so far. Why? Because a colleague was not satisfied there many years ago and the previous reviews were not the best. Fortunately, but unfortunately only now, we decided to make ourselves a picture of ourselves. Thank you. The greeting by two gentlemen and a lady was very friendly and sympathetic. The assignment was also exemplary. We also liked very well that we were not asked about the choice of drinks when the cards were issued immediately after we had taken our seats in peace. Why does God and the world do? Don't they want to sell wine? With the menu there was an ouzo and two roasted white bread with herbal butter and tomato. Chapeau, I haven't experienced that for a long time, at least in Greek. The menus were clean, tidy, well structured and not overloaded. We chose a peasant salad as an appetizer, two different grill plates as a main dish with one serving Zatziki as a supplement. Unfortunately, my wish for a Cola light could not be fulfilled. The man was obviously uncomfortable and I assume that this deficiency was only temporary. We were politely pointed out that the desired appetizer was served in almost identical forum as a supplement to the main course. That's it. However, we stayed at our choice, especially as the supplemental salad was exchanged for a herb salad in one case. More later. The drinks were served immediately, the appetizers shortly after. About 5 minutes after we destroyed the appetizers, the main course was served. At that time there were four tables in the restaurant. The main courses have convinced us. The meat was well seasoned, just like the gyros, not as fat as it was experienced only too often in the Greeks and the supplements were sometimes drappled. In one case, as stated, the actual supplemental salad was replaced by a herb salad, a special shower that was approved without any hesitation and courtesy. The portions were lush. In particular, the supplemental salad was certainly twice as large as usual from the circumference. Also the thickness and size of the pieces of meat, which was of good quality. Beautiful pieces of meat, without cubes, fats or other unappetizing. I have visited countless Greek restaurants throughout Europe. Better food was almost never. What is there to mug? The ambience reminds us of a Bavarian hospitality industry, which did not break down during our stay. The peasant salad from the appetizer was a bit expensive with 4.50 euros. Also to demand 3.80 euros for a small portion of Zatziki is a bit shaky. In my opinion, a Klacks Tsatziki also belongs to a grill plate. But that's no exception, that's nothing different from the restaurants in the area. should not be mentioned. The main courses with 10.80 euros and 10.50 euros were very favorable. For this country, you pay at least 13 euros for comparable grill plates, rather towards 15. We felt comfortable, we fed excellently and we were served perfectly. For this, there can only be the maximum rating and, finally, my insurance that I have nothing to do with this restaurant either privately or professionally, or was asked to write an evaluation. Try it out, you will be satisfied! I'll eat more often there. At least once a month. More often!"
