"The staff are great, the food was lovely. But, we were seated in an outside marquee, one minute it was warm, the next it was cold. As our meal lasted almost 3hrs, it wasn't great. After being seated, the drinks came quick, followed by our order being taken. A short time later the starters came. Some time later, we started to get our main meal, the first 4 of the 6 meals came out, after a bit of a wait the other 2. Maybe 5 minutes later the side orders, then we had to wait for the veg. If it wasn't for the restaurant temperature and the main course problems, I'd recommend the Boot."

Fillet steak to die for. Cooked to perfection. My Wife had a selection of starters as her main, all equally delicious. We'll definitely be back again soon. I went last night with my family. The food was stonkingly brilliant (as it always has been) with brilliant portion sizes and really excellent service. The evening was almost ruined when we were initially sat in the Conservatory with the deafeningly loud live music. Fortunately the lovely waitress was able to move us, but i would caution the Boot to make it absolutely clear that for those who book 'for dinner ' (which we did) that they really should not be sat in a live music venue. We will be returning Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
