"We enjoyed our chasse meal at the Café des Fontaines last October so much we were eager to eat there again but all the restaurants in Switzerland have been closed for a very long time due to the COVID 19 pandemic. So as soon as they were allowed to re open we booked a table at the Café des Fontaines and two friends joined us. We chose the 79frs menu starter of tartare of tuna which was absolutely perfect and came with a small salad, Tagliata de boeuf sliced entrecôte with roquette and shavings of parmesan which was very tender and lovely to look at (and to eat! and for dessert there was an ardoise (slate with small helpings of six different desserts with an espresso if you wanted one. The crème brûlée and the tiramisu were amazing. One of our friends who doesn 't eat raw fish had the other starter on the menu a tomato risotto. She said she would go there again and again just to have that! The service was perfect and we are looking forward to going back! Many thanks to Emilie and the chef and the entire team! Note that it is a small place (and was full as well and with the current social distancing in force reservations are essential."

"Wir haben hier zwei Nächte verbracht, während wir im Hotel waren. Die Gastgeberin Kellnerin war ausgezeichnet und das Essen war gut zubereitet. Wir hatten das Prix Fixe-Menü am ersten Abend und es war eine Menge Essen, daher bestellten wir das nächste Mal von der Speisekarte.Obwohl das Essen als peruanisch vermarktet wird, sah ich nichts auf der Speisekarte, die spezifisch für Peru schien, aber das Essen war ausgezeichnet."

"We went there for an impromptu lunch, without reservation. The Patron welcomed at the front door in a most cordial and welcoming way and gave us a great table next to the window. The restaurant was full, but the service was instant and extremely pleasant...and efficient. We had an explanation of what products are used for the pizzas and this was impressive. Top quality Sicilian tomatoes, fleur de mozzarella and a specific flour for making pizza, cooked in a wood fired oven. The result was amazing the best pizza we ever had, and we travel a lot in Italy. The tiramisu was to die for. At the end we asked to buy two jars of these beautiful tomatoes and we were given this without any problem. Highly recommended restaurant!!!"

"We have been going to this restaurant for 15 years to eat pizza on a regular basis. Unfortunately today we were let down. In the midst of moving, my husband sits down at the table with our three children to order a maxi pizza, salads and drinks. The waitress tells him that it is no longer possible to order a maxi pizza (beginning of July we did the same thing) for the simple reason that one day customers ate a maxi and occupied a table for three hours... My husband asks his nephew who was in the service at the time for more information. The latter received him as an occasional customer, no gesture towards us by proposing him 14 other pizzerias in Martigny. Shame about this rude attitude towards us, we used to enjoy this restaurant."

"So what about one of my favorite restaurants...it doesn't look like much in an industrial area...but the warm atmosphere and the welcome...giant...afterwards we talk about the pasta food madness ... it's the first time I've had the cook come out with the pan to offer extra at no extra charge ... and really very decent prices ... I go back there from time to time when I am in Martigny, for me it is an exceptional address for its simplicity, its sense of service and above all the quality of what it serves... I must have eaten there ten times, never disappointed Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
