"We had booked the table almost 3 weeks in advanced. When we arrived we were sat on one of the lower tables where half of our table wasn’t under the canopy it had been raining most of the day so we asked if we could move to the free table under the raised part of the beer garden under the heaters which was declined. We were advised another table had booked this, yet there isn’t any option to book specific tables on booking. It seemed the table had been reserved for a regular, in my view. We had to ask 2 members of staff about a table move and it took around 10 minutes before our drinks order or menus were given. We ordered drinks and food (including paid side sauces) and no sauces were given when food arrived. I had to wait around 10 minutes and ask 3 different members of staff for the sauces we had ordered. Equally when our food was given our drinks were just about empty no offer or order for drinks. We only ended up having 2 drinks in the two hours we were there due to the lack of service had staff been attentive to our table we would have had opportunity to order a lot more. The food was amazing, I can’t fault that at all. However the very disappointing service is enough to put me off booking again. It may be that the table is out of staffs eyeline hence the lack of service perhaps make sure if you book you’re on the raised platform rather than on the sides!"

"Getting together with friends for dinner is always an enjoyable event, however, at the end of the night we were all in agreement that we would not be returning to this venue. The room we were in was very noisy with small children at 9 pm and dogs. The service was very slow for both food and drinks we gave up on ordering desserts as staff disappeared and did not come back to take our order and by the time they did we asked for the bill. The food was not of any great quality sadly and most of us were disappointed."

"I call in occasionally and am always happy with the staff and service provided. Polite, chatty and very welcoming August 9th I was witness to a belligerent, screaming probably drunk lady who was verbally abusive to a young member of staff called Luke. I am happy to say that the young gentleman was completely calm and kindly asked the woman to lower her voice, which she did not completely out of control after trying to push in. He remained calm despite this, served me, and then served the abusive lady. Again polite and calm. People are quick to complain on these platforms and I believe that credit is due where it’s due so wanted to mention how impressed I was given the young lad has a right to work in a safe environment and not be screamed at. I’d have barred her and said out, however, the staff here are professional and kept their cool. Recommend a visit, well done to young Luke."

"Sadly gone very much downhill. Eye watering prices for average food. Can only speak for myself on the food. Had mushroom pate for starter. Sloppy, served in a mini dish with a dry piece of brown bread. No butter or vegan alternative. Main was enchilada. The vegan option had no yoghurt and was caked in vegan cheese. Clearly the chef hasn't tried it as all vegan cheese eaters know you have to use sparingly. I would overall and judging the table reaction to the food give it 3 out of 5. The service however was a shocker. Offered 1 round of drinks in 3 hours (had to ask after 2 hours for one ourselves). Plates bashed down on the table when brought, no extra cutlery brought for mains and pretty much chucked on the table when we asked for. Inattentive and grumpy would sum it up. Then 10% added to the bill for the pleasure. Cost was £160 for 4 starters and mains, 2 glasses of wine, 2 soft drinks and a pint."
