"visited this restaurant as we read reviews about this website. we had the ultimate burger, thin frying, tweepering rings and pfeffersoße. it was devine, we never had a burger. everything was made to perfection and the free guinness was crying. the reason why we visited the next day to buy a holiday to bring home for everyone to try. the personal could not have been more attentive. the next morning we had a frit in the caffe downstairs, which was also beautiful. huge compliments to the chef and the staff. please put the above on their list to do when they visit newry. it's a must! donna michael"

"A short review, but wanted to raise the green positive flag to this simple but effective local bakery and restaurant. We popped in for a lunch as an alternative to the very poor hotel food served where we were, in close proximity to the Shelbourne. The Bakery is the frontage and it opens out to a restaurant at the back, comfortable, but busy, so be warned if you like quaint and quiet. It ain't. However, if you want an honest meal, well prepared, good value and reflective of traditional local flavors and ingredients, nothing lost to try something here. I had the excellent cod and chips, with a side of gravy (no comments please). I can say that the fish was well cooked, batter was crispy, fries were hot and tasty. Any extra asked for was brought promptly and efficiently. We had Apple pie and Ice Cream for dessert, again simple but tasty. We have eaten several meals here now, including breakfast and I would highly recommend it as an alternative to the more expensive hotel breakfasts in the neighbourhood. Try the gravy with the fries. It's a game changer."

"it is all to change again, but thanks to the coffee is ace really top notch, shaded and perfectly roasted. funny enough while we find the rich from latte to macchiato, cappuccino by flat white etc. gibraltar is nowhere to find, not as much as. the customized glass. the personal remains as cheerful as always, despite the fact that their business must be desperate, and their reasonable prices remain the same. it's only here again with another lock-off, but the policy doesn't call it a lock. These people are still paid, they enjoy nominated wage increases (imaginable that they can decide on their own wage increases and who have recently given their support staff (in many cases family members a wage (and associated pension) increase. maya like so many companies have lots of things at a theke near the door to sanitise and here is the thing that the type that makes the coffee I can go, feet stand from him and give him money to pay and take a coffee and change from him. but if he had this machine in his kitchen, I couldn't go for a free coffee in his house. I could work with him all day, but I could not sit for a beer with him in a local bar for half an hour, but we could meet in the local church for an hour service. So look. So they think about how important it is to help small independent, especially in these strange times when the only certain are dead, control and grab money, dishonest politicians."

"This lovely restaurant is located in Newry. The food was perfectly cooked, and I ordered the haddock as my main course. Cooking fish can be tricky, but The Oliver's Chef did an excellent job. The haddock had a light batter and was tender and delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They even accepted euros as we didn't have British currency on hand. The restaurant quickly filled up on a Sunday afternoon, showing its popularity among locals. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Newry. The food was exceptional, the staff was fantastic, and the atmosphere was inviting. It's great value for money, and I highly recommend dining here. There is parking available right beside the restaurant with a nice view of the river. Shopping centers and the main street in Newry are also within walking distance."

"Lovely coffee and breakfast spot! We stopped in on our way from Dublin to Belfast and enjoyed an absolutely delicious ham and cheese croissant. The coffee was also great!
