"Facebook just prompted me to write a review, and I think now is the perfect time. I've been a regular patron for the past ten years and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent, and the staff is both friendly and attentive. Recently, we've started bringing our kids (aged 3 and 7), and they enjoy it just as much. The restaurant is always accommodating when it comes to adjusting the menu for the children (or for us) whenever possible. I highly recommend this place!"

"Very disappointed and will NEVER be returning. Used to class here as my local however after todays experience I will never be returning. Firstly I ordered a beef and gravy sandwich to be told they haven’t got sandwiches on today and we were asked had anyone informed us of this which they hadn’t. Secondly when my boyfriend went to place his order the waitress had decided to leave the table. I then had no choice but to order the gammon which I asked to have fries with. My partner ordered pork loin and they did not ask what he would like with that I.e mash chips potatoes. No longer having placed our order I heard someone else place an order at the bar asking for a sandwich and to be told that’s fine. Then the waitress came over to our table to be told they had no mash to go with the pork but we never had an option. Anyways when my meal came out the waitress asked who’s the steak and veg were baring in mind she was holding gammon (she hadn’t a clue) what she was handing out and it came with homemade chips which I did not request as I requested fries. The fries then came out soaking with grease and tasted heavily like grease too the pot they were served in also had a pool of grease at the bottom.Disappointed"

"Today Emma and I enjoyed a meal box from the Feathers. Ordered a couple of days before hand I collected, took home served our Northumberland charcuterie, braised beef and mash and apple tart 3 courses meal. These times have seen so many businesses struggling. I’m so pleased the likes of the Feathers has turned such difficulties into huge positives by offering customers something a little bit unique. I wholeheartedly suggest everybody gives this an opportunity to thrive by trying their menu."

"I’d passed by this place many times and hardly noticed it, but de iced it was a nice sunny day for a run out, and decided to visit for a coffe and cake. The menu was tempting however, so I decided on eggs benedict with Salmon and spinach, and it’s only just occurred to me that there was no salmon!...This could be due to a misunderstanding however, as there were one or two variants...and I didn’t like to say but the eggs were both undercooked. I was hoping the second egg was spot on but no excessively runny whites everywhere. My wife had the duck hoisin panini which I tasted and it was really tasty, and plenty of it. One touch I really appreciate was being advised that the young lady who attended our table was new, and learning the job. I like to know....The place is cosy and atmospheric, with a variety of artwork and prints on display. My other niggle is I don’t like tables sprayed and cleaned whilst I’m eating...it could have waited...but the staff were thorough, and extremely welcoming and pleasant."

"I called in here for a take away butter chicken I was absolutely starving and looking forward to eating this, however as soon as I opened the carton my heart sank. The sauce was a light yellow colour like custard and runny in consistency....I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tasted it pure cream! No other flavour at all. It went straight in the bin. It was late so no option of returning to the restaurant. I called in the next day with photos, and was even more disappointed in the reception I received. I was told butter chicken is supposed to be like that, and it doesn’t have spices?! I love this dish and have had it many times before in other restaurants, as well as making it myself from time to time. So yes, it does have spices in it.... not very hot ones but spices all the same! The manager refused to give me a refund and interrupted me several times to add up someone’s bill and to answer the phone. I actually hate complaining and very rarely do, however I am so disappointed and shocked at the poor customer service. Never again will I order from here. Absolutely rank, which you can see by the photos. Even a korma has more taste and consistency than this had! 9 quid odd straight in the bin!"
