"Firstly I need to clarify that I really enjoy the Grill Restaurant at Four Winds (upstairs) it 's one of my favourite, with great staff serving great food and I 'll continue to be a regular (5 stars). However I had my first visit to the Collina Bar/restaurant (downstairs) since the refurb and was very unimpressed. Although a lot of time, thought and effort has been put into the changes I 'll personally not be rushing back. The overall menu is very disappointing and was a struggle for the family to decide what to order. My wife and I eventually opted for one of the evening Specials an Easter trio of chicken/fish/prawn. Sounded appetising but not! The chicken was a type of 'chicken dipper ', the fish was a 'battered ' piece of fish and the prawn tempura was the type you buy in Iceland (or any other supermarket) the dish was greasy and uninspiring. Special it was not.My daughter had the crispy Squid. She described it as soggy and greasy. My son had the Salt and chillie chicken burger. He said it was salty and nothing special. The restaurant certainly wasn 't busy for an Easter Saturday but it was still difficult to get staff attention. I think partly due to the layout but there were no staff particularly interested in how we were progressing (or not). All in all disappointing."

I found this place by accident and we really enjoyed the food we had, it was fresh, tasty and plenty of it. A very modern restaurant and the staff are quick and attentive.

Visited the new cafe callina , got to say what a difference with a real modern and holiday feel the coffee was 1st class dead strong and the lunch menu suited the style of the place . Hopefully get back for cocktails in the lovely outside seating area .

Nothing specifically the matter here pleasant enough for a morning coffee. Music slightly loud and not particularly relaxing. Staff ok. Coffee was fine but a bit over priced for an Americano that was only two thirds of a cup full (not asked if I wanted room for milk, which I didn't). Good car parking.

Went in for breakfast with two friends on Friday morning after a great game of golf. Food was just what we wanted delicious, modern and the correct size. We sat outside in the covered decking area, and used the heated lamps to ensure we kept warm. Service was also excellent! Could see this being our new local....

Nice bar and restaurant. Superb beer garden. The one small problem relates to the wearing of GAA shirts in the beer garden, although against the bar policy it seems to be tolerated and certainly went unchallenged on any visit i have made to the beer garden. Disappointing not to see a neutral environment.Otherwise excellent.

We ordered squid and soup for starters, and shared one of the Collina's delicious burgers with our bottle of wine. The food was excellent. The restaurant was quite busy, but we were very politely informed by the manager that there might be a delay of about ten minutes in the preparation of our food order. On this occasion, the staff, and the manager in particular, were very professional, pleasant and efficient.

My first time visiting the new Collina restaurant since it opened. Service and food were both excellent! I got the macncheese and it was a perfect size for a starter..even though it was so tasty I wanted more. I got the hake for my main and my boyfriend got the beef..both excellent sizes and so tasty! Only small thing I would say is let people know exactly what's in things as there was olives in mine and I hate olives..slightly ruins it when you have to fish them out. But it didn't take away from the night. Cocktails also really tasty!

Me and my partner decided to try the Four winds for Breakfast on a Sunday morning. When we got there the waitress came over and we ordered our Breakfast's. I ordered Portabello Mushrooms and my partner Eggs Benidict. We got a pot of tea while we were waiting. There were very few other people in. Four had there Breakfast in front of them. There was a couple, two Men and us waiting. after about 30 minutes, the Two Men got up and left. The couple and ourselves had not been served. We were finally served after about 50 minutes. This is quite a long wait for some Poached Eggs on Mushrooms with a Hollandaise sauce over them. Apart from that the Eggs were cold. We were not impressed. We complained...

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."

"I'm an American. I was invited to work at the queen’s university in a global conference. my airline has moved my baggage, so I stopped in the barking dog to use her wlan to check the status of my baggage and have a drink and a snack with my associate who has unusual allergies. the menu had nothing to call us, so we have decided to finish and move only our drinks./ at no point has anyone informed that it is illegal to have only drinks, and our server ran our review without mentioning any legal requirements. After I paid, someone who I suspect, the manager, came to the table and checked our reception. exactly what I thought was what they said before they cheated on me how it is illegal to buy drinks in a restaurant without eating. I apologised and explained that I had no warning. I offered to buy food retroactive and they refused. then they repeated that I was in a restaurant and not in a pub and that my activities were illegal. they denied my multiple attempts to apologise me while I explained that I am not out of the opposite. this experience was very confusing for me, because the night before me had drinks in a restaurant without food and it was no problem. in any case I was told that there is no such law and that the ordering of drinks without eating in a restaurant is very common. I've never been treated so badly in a customer service dynamic and I'm not sure why this happened. I feel targeted and totally mistreated for what does not seem to be a good reason. To finish it, it was my birthday. complete error in the name of what this person was. I will say the rest of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating."
