"At first the Schwobastueble looks like the regular traditional restaurant in a rural German area where you would expect tons of meat to be served. Quite the opposite! The current owner Claudia has started on a journey to transform the Schwobastueble into a vegan paradise. After having introduced many vegetarian options first, the menu now almost completely consists of vegan dishes! Only by special request and on Sundays meat will be served. This is a transition phase of a very traditional family business and the goal is to go all vegan. The dishes are mostly hearty Swabian cuisine, very delicious. A changing menu and once-a-month all vegan Sunday brunch offer endless choices. Go there and support the change from meat place to vegan heaven! Very friendly and warm service. Happycow only allows for 4* as long as a place still serves some meat, but the spirit is 5*. Updated from previous review on Saturday March 01, 2014"

Although very far from everything its always worth the trip! We liked it a lot and try to visit when we are close. The food was always good and the restaurant has a nice terrace and has a very welcoming atmosphere.

Cosy place in this small village not far from a beautiful lake surrounded by forests. Great beer garden to relax, and have a beer... Delicious traditionnal swabian dishes, the vegan way. Buffet on sundays and brunch once a month. Very friendly staff in this family restaurant. Also 3 cats and a turtle :

The mouthbags are a dream! The cake is extremely good, especially the chocolate cake! A warm atmosphere, the service is great. You can sit beautifully in the green, children can dig in the garden. Salad buffet nice large and tastes great. The hammer was also the fresh mushroom. Come back with our loved ones!
