"The Allgäu as a hiking, holiday and guest destination is always beautiful and absolutely rewarding – mainly due to the hearty, hearty, hearty cuisine. My last tour led to Missen-Wilhams, near Immenstadt. So far a dark spot on my culinary map. The resort has 7 local parts and in fact a large selection of inns and inns. On our day of arrival we arrived shortly before 2 pm – and had already a strong hunger. As a lover of spicy food, I can be happy with coffee and cake. Thus, the afternoons are always difficult to bridge, especially in areas where the locals often run as family farms and the kitchen is closed for a few hours to open again at 5 pm or even at 6 pm. Fortunately, we had a success in the first attempt. The “Sonne” in Missen-Wilhams is located in a picturesque semi-high position. The impressive, stunning, generous building promises even more cosiness and homeliness. In good weather you can sit in a picturesque way, even on parking is not lacking. On our arrival, however, it was still so cool that we spoiled sitting. The impressive large but low guest room is dominated by bright floor planks and bright, friendly country house furniture. The room has a feeling of generosity and vision. In the middle of the room is a green tile stove, on the walls passenger portraits – probably from the ancestors and ancestors. Comfortable corner benches run almost all the way around the walls and on the chairs are rustic cushions. The “Sonne” is already managed as a family business in the fifth generation, very sympathetic and convincing as I find! We were very friendly and welcome, we were the only guests at this time. The extensive menu includes classics such as Wiener Schnitzel or Jägerschnitzel as well as salads and vasper or seasonal specialties such as roasted salmon steak with asparagus layout. My companion chose a tasty, spicy, but hardly to handle the crowd; I chose the Allgäu cheese puffs (9,60 Euro with extra salad). Unfortunately there was no Cola light. But the big water for 2.20 euros was nicely refreshing and tingling, but godlessly not too cold. Although I'm sure it's freshly cooked here, we have our food after just a quarter of an hour. As almost everywhere in the Allgäu, the cheese used as a strong, slender button, decorated with finely cut pitches, crowned by gently steamed onion rings. A physalis. I didn't want to give an exact answer to the cheeses used. It's a family secret. In addition to Emmentaler and Bergkäse, spicy Romadur or Limburger seemed to play with him. All in all wonderfully harmonious and harmonious, additionally very saturating. A green salad has been added (and this is actually tradition). In my case, with a spicy, crumbling marinade you would have preferred... After coffee – the big oat for cheap 3,00 euros – you served small chocolate snacks. A nice gesture: After the end of the meal, the chef (Thomas Gudermann, who completed his cooking class in a 5-star hotel) asked if everything was fine. We were also delighted with the youthful and warm service. Last but not least we had the guest rooms in the main house, which show what was immediately possible without any circumstances. Apparently, bright and friendly apartments can also be booked in an annex. In the next visit we could therefore imagine using this possibility. The open naturalness and convincing cordiality of the Gudermann family convinced us quickly. The glittering cleanliness of the house is also a big plus."
